Anyone found anywhere that's doing particularly good deals? For me to upgrade on o2 it's £170 for a 32GB 5C or £260 for a 32GB 5S on a £37 p/m contract (unlim mins & txts with 2GB data). Doesn't seem that bad? From what I've seen orange and t-mobile are marginally cheaper (by about £20 on the...
Ouch on the invoice! Fair play though, bet it feels like a different car!
FYI I got a replacement heater panel for £15 delivered from Renparts as I had the same problem as you.
Cheers Fred!
Lol Ian, just chucked out some LRP additive, could've used that! Yeh bought a trophy to run about in for a bit - needed to put some extra money away for a house. Prob going to be doing the Bedford evening as well ;)
I seem to remember that you can buy some stuff to soak into tyre surfaces to 'rejuvinate' the tyre...particularly useful for half worn semi slicks etc. I think it's used in the karting world but banned from most car race series iirc. Anyone come across it? Apparently makes quite a difference...
I'd avoid using #85 tbh - it's extremely harsh and in 99.9% of cases unnecessary. It's also not really suitable for use with a DA as they're not really powerful enough to properly break down the abrasives.
Awesome work on that bootlid though! But as the others said, wetsanding with no PTG is...
Could be the caliper itself, had to replace mine because of an imbalance. Remove the handbrake cable from the lever of the caliper that's only just holding, then use an extension bar or something on the lever to make sure that when it's pulled by the handbrake it does actually apply the brake...
I've got both, and would prob pick the type R tbh! (if both are standardish). Civic is much better built (obviously) and far nicer to drive. Handles pretty similar to the cup too!
Better turn-in and steering response really..bit of negative camber helps resist tire sidewall rollover which means more tread in contact with the road i.e. better cornering traction.
They're not better than A048's! Fantastic tyre for the money, I didn't find them all that great in the wet (not compared to exaltos anyway) but they're damn good in the dry and don't wear badly at all. They don't suffer from heat too badly either, I could go for a about 20mins on track before...
I had a right faff with my rear brakes for the MOT. Make sure they're adjusted so the pads sit as close to the disc as possible. I also used some emery cloth on the discs to increase the friction a little..that just about made them pass!
The turning circle is crap and the steering genuinely is awful. It stiffens up when you're parking and on the boil you seem to get completely random feedback as to what's going on under the front wheels!
15 deg either way from horizontal I think. Not sure on distance! There's a diagram on here somewhere, have a search for 'harness mounting' or something along those lines.
Edit, have a look here:

So your harnesses have these?
If so, just undo your harnesses so that they don't loop around them, and loop them around the cage instead (if that makes sense). This is how I did mine:
You can shorten the harnesses no problem and just roll them up (see pic above). Alternatively you could...
You can do it with a vice and some sockets..
The Powerflex mounts are a piece of cake to put back in, minimal effort required. Just copy how the original was fitted when you come to fit it back onto the car.
Yeh sounds about right. What pads are they? I thought halfords only did Ferodo and their own brand? I've used both before and they had the nipple on them. You may have the wrong ones..
You sure they're the right padsr? IIRC halfords don't list any for the clio 1*2, so I bought some for a 306/205 GTi (same caliper design) and they fitted fine...
