Currently filling the linkage with lead shot
If this sorts the PMS rattle. I’m going to cum myself with happiness. 😂 it’s been driving me mental
Hopefully not shaking like a maraca instead 😂

Yup. AwesomeView attachment 1675353View attachment 1675354View attachment 1675355View attachment 1675356Seats in. Pretty much identical colour to the wheel
Over the moon with them. I think they look awesome personally !
Yup. Awesome
You're better just filling the boot with red grease mate. It'll take 95% of the rattle away and doesn't lead (no pun intended) to a weighty shifter.Currently filling the linkage with lead shot

Changing the bearing, adding an oring under the sleeve and applying a silicone layer between the shell and the shifter also helps.
Interior looks lovely now! Some renaultsport show plates would finish this right off 🫦
RB is looking great. Interior choice upgrades looks spot on 👌
Thanks mate. I’m very happy with it.
Next up I’ve got some paintwork to attend to.
Then probably 2118’s.
That is just awesome! Seats compliment the wheel beautifully!
I love those seats. I had black ones in the 200. I think I need this exact set in the Cup! Looks mega
My front bearings failed on my BG. Despite driving it daily, I didn't realize the extent of the issue until they nearly fell apart.Small update.
Car sailed through it's MOT but I am aware that the rear brakes aren't playing ball at the moment. Seeing as I'm already balls deep in to this project, I've ordered new calipers, SNR OEM discs, another new set of pads and a new spacer to renew the lot.
I have a constant 'whiring' sound from the car. Not sure if it's the PS3's or a bearing thats shot. It does it even when coasting so it's not the diff or box or anything motor related.
I also have a very slight exhaust leak on the mid pipe, so have some Wurths high temp silicone sealant for that so will strip it off, clean it up and re seal it.. Pending it all arriving, I should get it up in the air to sort this coming weekend as well as the headlight level sensor.
I need to sort some bungs for where the rear bench came out as well, any suggestions?
Oh, and this rubbing situation. Need to investigate if it's the well known bracket on the front rubbing or it's caused by the spacers..... regardless, the front 18mm PMS spacers will be coming off as it's too wide and no good for handling.

I had a suspicion that something was amiss. To test it, I would drive along the motorway, shift into neutral, and let it coast, but the problem was difficult to detect thanks to the drone of the exhaust.
Just before the bearings finally gave out, the sound became unmistakable, particularly when approaching a roundabout — a sort of rotational whirring or rumbling that would diminish as I applied the brakes and turned into the corners.
What a difference when I changed them though. The car was so quiet.
Well, all you're doing is making it reliable, so it's not wasted money if you intend to drive it. Some people like to chance it on 18-year-old rusty parts.I will get her up on the ramp soon and rotate/feel the fronts - just in case.
Be a new car after this haha! Coming from a motorsport background though I prefer to preventative maintenance/over maintain things anyway. My race bike has oil after every race despite the fact it comes out pristine and costs a fortune.
I'd rather spend the money upfront and ‘zero’ everything than breakdown/have issues. I know you're of the same cloth
I’m jealous of your wheelsThis reminds me of mine. But yours is far cleaner.
Did you do the SSL recon/exchange service via eBay? I've just sent mine off to be done by them too. Yours looks great.
The financial penetration in this thread is heart warming x
They need warming up first to get the best seal tbh.If it’s any consolation my RB still gives me a whiff of exhaust first thing and that has a brand new flange, exhaust, cat, gaskets and been fitted by a professional exhaust centre. There’s very little insulation under that gear shift gaiter. Once I’m moving the car behind me is getting it 😂

There’s very little insulation under that gear shift gaiter. Door seals have seen better days etc…so I’m sure it’s just old tart fumes you get at start up finding it’s way in somehow.
