Had a look at my sills today and they're flattened to the car, so skirts off and pulled them straight. I now need to paint them and take this opportunity to strengthen them with box section.

can an someone tell me if there is meant to be bush/bushes in any of the mounting holes on this cradle please? It was just bolted straight to the car.

It just bolts straight to the car, no bushes in the fixings for the cradle, had mine off today to fit KTR/Vibra-Technics Mounts.
Few more bits done this evening.

it's just coiled up at the front of the engine while I work out where to put it lmao Any (sensible) suggestions?!

Spending almost over for this first stage, all mechanical work now done, tyres arrived today, just need to get them fitted, alignment and mot now :race:

Tyres fitted, 195/50 RS-R gives good rim protection, hope they perform as good as they look

Well after alignment I was told the rear toe (in) was uneven and way out, so need shims. I took it out anyway and it was horrible, straight line stability and initial turn in is uncomfortable to say the least, need to get the rears sorted before it goes out again
Anyway, random jobs done this week. I decided to have a hack at the door cards for an alternative track look.

Thanks, I'm happy with them, could be tidier in a couple of places but I was making it up as I went along
Finally fitted the seats from the recent group but, had to modify the cobra sliders to fit, all together with 12.9 high tensile bolts

Not done much with the clio recently as I'm skint, hopefully get out to play with it next month, for now just having to be content with doing odd jobs. Fitted my rear shims to get the toe where it should be and had a go at being a carpet fitter to tidy up the rear
Couple of updates after a lay off, Next day out is 9th November, can't wait, got proper harnesses now, safety devices cage will be the next big spend! Got myself a spare gearbox for peace of mind too :smile:

My fat-ish head measured 58.5cm, I went for this medium which is 57-58cm, glad I did, fit is perfect and comfortable, good vision, although it feels very light in my hand, it feels heavier than the open face on my head, which is to be expected but I'll soon get used to it
Was going to buy the GP7K which is the same helmet without the hans posts, but I like shiney things lmao

The 7K can be retrofitted with HANS posts I believe as the holes are already there, so it is a cheaper option.
I need to try one on really as when I brought my bike helmet I tried loads on and only really found the Arai comfortable, I must have a funny shaped head lol

Hi Luke, appologies for the late reply! The cards were from the lightweight door card thread in group buys, but I wasn't happy with the fit so altered them myself
Little cup was faultless yesterday at Kirkistown short circuit, only car to pass was a 997 4S on the straight :smile:
