182 Cup...noise :(

When l slowly back off the drive and stop then slowly move off theres a slight knock/vibration from the underside.I can feel it through the seat and the pedals...kinda feels like l've run over a large stone! Any ideas as to what it could be?
Also l have the squeek/knock from the o/s/f shocker that my 172 Cup had.I thought this had been resolved on the 182's and the modification to the top of the strut wasn't needed.

Does it only do when you pull away forwards for the first time or every time you pull away.

Brake pads sticking? Pretty common problem, I've mentioned it here.

Not sure.The rear pads do stick sometimes but that noise is quite loud.This isn't

Isn't this just the old strut top problem?

It hasn't gone away, even Trophys do it.

Or, the alternative view that i've heard is that very shortly after you've first pulled away the ABS tests itself, which gives a slight clunk through the brake pedal.

Could be either of these, but my Trophy does the same thing.

My rear pads also stick but that is totally different.

That's what i was thinking, mine does it when i first pull away and i feel it through the clutch pedal, it feels and sounds like a spring at times, got quite concerned the first time i did it, but searched on here and the answer was most likely ABS self test.

I asked the dealer about this when I first got my 182. They had the car for 2 days, said they had to strip it down, then at the end of two days said it was the ABS and it was normal. Fecking muppets!

My bus doesn't do the knocking sound it, but the wife's avensis does it every morning without fail.. its something to do with the ABS self test or something like that..

Its the ABS doing a self test,i get it everytime i drive off for the first time. Nothing to be worried about

Yeah it's the ABS test, my old 182 cup did it too.
