Hope you dont start popping boxes and clutches.
LOL, im expecting to to be honest, renos chocolate boxes are sh*te!

Maritin, leather will be kept in for shows and everyday use, but will just strip out the usual for strip/track action, on the road i doubt it will make a massive difference, with over 200bhp traction is gonna be my main problem.

Another update,

Being held up by a few things so i continued with the flow development.

The ITBs and manifold have been flowed and shaped to maximise efficiency over the std ITB setup.

The Divet was put there by me to control the area behind the injector and the cone pattern/turbulance after it is injected, a few more secret tweeks will be done to this area.

How the feck do you do all this? Looks so detailed and loads of hard work to get the finishes Ive seen on those pics.

Would love to see this go in the flesh, is it going into a standard looking clio too? lol would be a good sleeper

:D Excellent pics again Ben!

Yes its going in a standard looking clio, just a bit of smoothing. Loads of engine and suspension work though ;)

  big fat japanese bus

Very very nice

Reminds me of when I did loads to a CVH in a MK3 escort, got 140 BHP with no forced induction butit was very lumpy

How driveable will it be everyday?

well, saw this in the flesh yesterday, sh*t hot is all i can say. The TBs are f**king massive too, I reckon when it comes out it will be sucking cows and fully grown men into it when he opens the b**ch up!

looking forward to seeing this thing go :devilish:

I like the sound of what you are doing mate i have a mk1 1.8 16v i have had a lot of engine work done ie cams, chipped, bigger injectors, nife edge crank, lightened and balanced flywheel, group n cluch, valves, boost valve, ported and polished head and a few other bits my clio is running around the 205bhp all i do is snap cluches, shafts and boxes and do in big ends my best time was 14.2 on the quarter mile at crail dont expect any better coz they spin about 1/4 of the way up you cant help it good luck when its finished mate

Throw the full specs this way as that is alot of power for relatively minor modifications.

On another update, your ECU is here along with other assorted bits and bobs.

Just building it up now.....and no you cant rush me!

where did my post go? i put a post up asking the same as Ben. And stating that a few clios on here run 14.1 and 14.0 1/4s with around 170-180 bhp, so up your launching game!

Any pictures dood? You sure you cant be rushed becasue your setting GT4 lap records ;)

Ben, i reckon I can beat your Nurburgring record, but on the Xbox PGR2... if you have it we need a race pal, cos I fancy meself as a dab hand. Can do 6 mins for fun in the TVR. hehe

bloody el, that means buying yet another PS2... this will be the 3rd one... they just die when you chip em... with GT4 being Sony I dont suppose there is any other way???

failing that, when I next come over to GDI/AWT bring the PS2 in and a telly and well have a race... not using no stinkin 172 tho lad! well, unless you can make it blue and gold ;)

lol.

Get a cheap one from HK, you buy then brand new with chips, impossible to get them without chips. plus with the exchange rate as it is, cheap as chips.

Mine has been going strong for years.

Nope, its still running through a few problems.

Mainly with the megane head to williams block mating extra waterways need to be added. Dry build needs to be done to check pistonvalve clearance due to extreem cylinder head work and face skim. If they are too close the pistons will have to come out to be modified.

Apart from that, all is on track.

Its ALOT of work this car.

  Saxo VTS

Got to say that looks amazing.

Hats off to both of you for the time, money and effort. So good to see people moddifying a car how it should be done, with time and respect.

Look forward to seeing/hearing the finished item.

:)

Its good to see the modifying game going from strength to strength and people still using a bit of imagination.

reading about it again will nearly bring me out of retirement!!!!!!

Its been on the ramp last week waiting for the right rack to turn up for the willy front end conversion.....so time to carry on.
