BEWARE, LOW MILEAGE LIQUID YELLOW CLIO 182 VO54 FFZ

I was tempted to do the same, wrote it and then deleted it.

Absolute scumbags, especially with Freds extremely detailed report they know it has no cup packs, it hasnt done the legit miles and probably has some other dodgy history there and they still lie in the advert.

Makes my piss boil.

  Liquid Yellow 182 FF
I almost bought this when looking for a LY 182, actually made a thread on it here about their dodgy site and how I wasn't convinced. So glad I avoided!

Trading standards will already have all the details from consumer direct, but I will make sure they know that it has been relisted since finding out it has faults.

They won't have seen the report yet as it was only just finished, however when picking up the car originally I measured the hubs to check whether or not it had cup packs and informed them it certainly didn't at that point (which reflecting in a £250 price reduction originally).

I doubt someone would buy a liquid yellow for over 5k without being part of the forum. I hope not anyway!

It's probably worth 2k if that. Robbing b******s. I thought Proline was a reputable Renault specialist aswell!

I was being told about this car t'other day. f**king ballbags for that (if they knew about it).

Glad you got (most of) your money back! They need to sort that ad out though*, before someone unknowingly buys it!

*Read as remove it/significantly lower the price

I'm also hitting the report button on this!

Another 'specialist' f**k up, it must be a massive list by now.

Piston Heads are pretty good at taking adverts down. Glad you got your money back mate. Well done Fred for putting it all in writing!

Shocking stuff. Thing sounds like a mongrel. Glad you got most of your money back.

Nice one Fred btw!

  Ibiza FR Edition
Reported this on pistonheads as well... can't believe they sold it the way it was in the first place. Even more shocked they are now trying to do the same thing again!

  BG 182FF
I also reported this. They can claim ignorance for selling it the first time. Not now. I think the OP should get the rest of his money back, not just 5k. I don't understand how they can just give a partial refund

I agree but understand his reasons for accepting it.

Great that there a few people reporting it will no doubt be reposted

To be honest i would just my losses after that and find another one. forget the last £250

  RB 182 FF
I'd go and get my £250 quid back as well..... The cheeky a*se holes!!! Trying to sell it again after you informed them of the faults is disgusting and you should use it as a tool to get your remaining £250 back... If it get's reported they've tried to sell it on again surely they're in deep sh1t?!!!

Good move re finding a Trophy, hope you get a good one ;-)

Very strange story. Bet your glad to get some distance between you and that nightmare scenario. If they have any of your personal details i would be cautious about how far you take this having settled the matter with them. I know a women that kicked up a stink with a garage and the next morning she found brake fluid had made a lovely mess of her paint work.

Not good mate and would not wish that on anyone, glad you got it sorted now and hopefully your next one will be the real deal!

Man, that's pretty bad! Glad you got it sorted and hats off to Fred for doing all this for you.

As someone has said, it's more than likely that a CS member will put down £5k for a LY 182, so hopefully they will see this.

Is the advert still on PH???

Cheers for the link, I've just realised I very nearly bought an RB off them a while back when I was looking!

Glad I didn't, I know not all their cars will have problems, but they're clearly not very honest!

Did you ring up the previous owner of the car to clarify its history?

The owner probably traded it in, didn't tell dealer about the engine or pedal mods so he got full trade in price.
