Hello East Midlands people. The folks down at the Griffin's Head put on a classic/sports car show from May-September on every 1st/3rd Wednesday. My mate, my wife and I went down this week to check it out, and there were a lot of great cars on show, from Mk1 & 2 Escorts, to Peugeot 205 GTIs, to old Rolls Royces etc etc. However, mine was the only Clio! It would be great if we could pick a date and take a convoy of Clios in.
I'd suggest something like Wed 7th August. Hopefully the weather would be great around then (we can only hope) and I don't think it clashes with any of the other national forum meets. Let me know if this is of interest to anyone. Cars usually start arriving from about 6pm, and start leaving when it gets dark. It is in the field behind the pub, so they do food and drink, but there is also a burger stall and outside bar also. Could be fun!
