crazy ax sleeper lol

Hi, went out for a little cruise the other day and thought i'd share a few pictures of my mates ax for those of you that appreciate a good sleeper lol

This thing is absolutely mental lol..... 170bhp rally engine with a 8250k rev limit :evil: weighing in at a tad over 700kg.

Jobs still to do are: gsxr 600 bodies, relocated battery and weld in a cage.

Yes I can confirm it is awesome fun! The shock on people faces when it starts to pull is truly priceless lol.

Sorry don't have any vids atm will get some next time its out and update in here. I completely agree it needs a cage as does the owner, the car is pretty much made of plastic, you can twist the boot lid with your hand lol. The car is still very much a work in progress what it really needs is some tyres that are up to the job it currently spins up 1st 2nd and 3rd. r888s is what were thinking but he's still unsure about the vts rims as he wants 13" for a better stance as the rear can't be dropped any further on 15s without the gt kit or major arch cutting and he is keen on keeping the flat arch 1litre look.

What spec is the engine to get 170bhp?

if you think this is mad, theres a few 300bhp+ ones currently about.

I bet that's great fun at suprising people I like doing the same in the mini but it's no sleeper like that ax which gives it away a bit

I personally am not 100% on engine spec but what we know has been done is ph3 rally cams on a ported c2 vts cylinder head, high comp pistons, solid lifters uprated springs etc and a custom Citroen sport ecu built by chipwizards in leeds. Apparently its no longer really a vts or gti engine more of a 1600 rally engine but as I said I really don't know that much about it as the engine was sourced from a rally car and dropped in. It made 173hp on the rollers when it was in the saxo.

Love ax's but can't see it running 170bhp.

My 16v rallye ran 160bhp with cat cams and jenvey bodies!
