My brother got a new full frame DLSR camera recently so I asked him to take some photos of the car for me :smirk: They are absolutely fantastic! Let me know what you guy's think!

Apologies for the lack of updates folks! It's not been due to a lack of progress with the car but due to me not taking the time to update the thread. To make up for it though I've added quite a few changes since my last update.
Engine bay
To tidy up the bay I purchased the popular black aluminium steel battery cover in addition to replacing the 'fatty' induction setup with the standard airbox but with an ITG panel filter.

Exterior
Through a friend who works at a Renualt dealership I got 2 x new exhaust trims that replaced the original tired set that were badly discoloured and melted.

When first taking ownership of the 182 I fitted a dated iPod Alpine headunit orginally in my non sport clio. Great headunit however it lacked modern features like bluetooth, USB & AUX connectively and bluetooth handsfree.
So the replacement had to have these features and preferably a simplistic appearance and a display not like a calculator.
After much research I purchased the Pioneer DEH-x8700BT along with a T1-Audio update list stalk adapter interface.

I fed the USB & AUX cables down into the cup holder area.
Exterior
Carried out another correction of the headlights however on this occasion implementing better technique, namely the sanding stage by following a north/south & east/west pattern going through the different grades. Polished and refined with a DA polisher, sealed with Poorboy's EX-P to protect!

Other misc items
Black stainless steel engine bay bolts and Gtechniq C4 trim restorer. Got fed up constantly having to reapply other trim dressings like AF Revive.

Exhaust
Removed the centre box/silencer of my Milltek exhaust because the inside of it was damaged and harshly rattling. Kindly requested the workshop to also fabricate the popular CAT mod to make the exit of the cat 2.5" like the rest of the system.
Extremely happy with the outcome as no rattles are present and I've now the added bonuses of a nice exhaust note & the system pops a little when cold :yum: Check out the video below!

Prior to the New Year during the summer months I had @Ady182 (n2grafix) make me up an "RS182FF" sticker after seeing another member with it. Cool OEM style touch :grinning:
24504445551_b95ffbb420_z.jpg

Next the engine and gearbox oils were refreshed with Elf 5W-40 and Elf Tranself NFJ 75W-80 respectively with filter/sump plug washer. Wish I had these changed during earlier ownership the difference has been night and day! During the same visit with the mechanic I had him fit spacers to save myself the bother. Opted for 15mm hubcentric up front and 10mm rear hub spacers, these were chosen on the basis of the tyres I use (205/45s) to avoid potential rubbing issues. Great improvement on the stance!

Around the same time I also purchased LED bulbs to refresh the interior stock bulbs, I went for OSRAM units that thankfully don't glow whilst switched off.
24586714705_5467d74904_z.jpg

I had a short experience with FK euro rear lights (had these on my previous non-sport) although I quickly sold them on as they were't to my taste on the sport. Too eye catching against black gold in my opinion, instantly preferred the OEM units when swapped backed on
23959913973_dc08ab617b_z.jpg

In the New Year a friend from a local NI Renault Sport group sold on his 182 and subsequently put his Turini wheels up for sale. At a fantastic price with good Continental tyres all round with plenty of tread I instantly messaged him and picked them up the same night! Replaced a few arch liner bungs and screws at same time of fitting these. Rather frustratingly the screws on the front drivers side couldn't simply unscrew because the heads are so badly corroded, will return another day to them and get them replaced hopefully. Replaced Citroen stubby aerial with a VW UP item to improve radio reception too which can be seen in the next photos.

They'll be in for refurbishment at some point as the paint finish looks and feels like a cheap DIY job although they look good polished/sealed with Auto Finesse Mint Rims after a thorough cleaning inside and out with wheel cleaner, Tardis and Iron-x.
Other than these updates the 182 hasn't put a foot wrong apart from a new battery needed. Still enjoying it as much as day one

Intend to get the Speedline Turinis refurbished as their finish isn't up to my standards so will be going for either anthracite or silver, slightly swayed towards the former but the latter looks so fresh!

What do you guys think? My local wheel shops can't do/get the original Cup Anthracite paint so will have to go for the closest match.

Anthracite

Car looks lovely Gav!

I have recently had my turinis painted silver on my Black Gold, a lot nicer than anthracite IMO.

Silver 100%. I made this case when Dr Jekyll did his and it looks so much better against the black. Sets the car off really well

I'm still stuck between which colour to go for, continuing to look at other BG owners photos on here for help
I intend to call in with the local wheel refurbishment workshop this weekend to check out their shades of anthracite on their display alloys.

I still have the 182, its become my daily since changing jobs losing a company van, I've been maintaining it well and I'm still loving ownership of it  Here's some of what I've been up to hopefully in the correct chronological order  Mileage is now just over 65k

OEM Renault mats to replaced the previous red ones. Should have done this a long time ago because I absolutely love them. You can just about see the Alpine headunit I have installed since my last update too. Being the fussy guy I am the Pioneer unit just didn't tick all my boxes. Alpine is better all round especially regards sound quality.

I had my interior grab handles refinished by GTD Hydrographics after having to return new OEM Renault items which were sticky straight out of the packaging :persevere: They compliment well with the dash trim, gear knob insert and steering wheel insert which all have the same carbon fibre dipping effect

Expect another update soon with other changes I've completed including refreshing of bulbs, front fog lamps and whatever else I've forgotten about! Here are some random snaps over the last year or so though :grinning:

Hey Gavin. Good to hear you've still got the car and keeping it fresh.

I'm just back on the forum after buying another Clio a AB 182 this time. Sold the iceberg 172 and missed it something shocking!

This looks great but what happened to the Turinis?

Also, can you remember what size your front plate is?

They are in storage at present as I fancied a change back to the cup wheels :) Front plate is 520x90mm I think from memory - search for the guide on the forum
