they don't do mil spec connectors for half the sensors on a 13b
so annoying no one makes a single turbo harness etc for a 13b... and a new harness is 1200 for the engine lol... don't touch any of the engine plugs unless you honestly genuinely have to then expect them to crumble lol!
like i said on fduk you need to get a multimeter lol!

I can kind of see the appeal but f**k running one daily. I would be constently paranoid of the thing going bang. I dont think I would buy a standard one either might aswel have bought a 500 odd bhp one as people who run those kind of cars generally look after them anyway. The interior looks shocking also... Is that rust around the steering wheel boss?

Milspec stuff the Honda boys use are literally to join sections of harness to each other. The ones on senders/injectors etc will be OEM Honda gear either new or simply cleaned up and fitted with new wiring and pins. Mazda only supply harness as a whole rather than replacement pins/plugs?
Seeing as I do about 5000 miles a year in just one car and also have my winter shed, it's not really a daily like the majority of the forum use. That's the joy of living so close to work you could walk if you so wished.

Nope won't supply new plugs and pins.... And the company that make them wont sell to public.... So no one can get them lol

Found some more awesome chop job wiring. Some little Jap c**t must be sat pissing himself at the thought of somebody having to sort this.

I can sense the rage. Thankfully my 9 has somehow escaped the notorious shonky jap rig up style bodge wiring which many seem to suffer at some point in their life. Really don't understand why so many have bodged wiring given how particular a lot of Japanese car enthusiasts are about buying high end quality parts to fit on them.

Imported a hell of alot (5 figures worth east over the years) of R/C parts from Japan.

I'm actually contemplating this being the first car I don't do the work myself on too, as I'm pretty sick of fiddly s**t and nothing looks that good to get at.

Some companies give warranties on an engine rebuild. Good luck on anything else lol.

Looks really smart that. I'm a big fan of the RX7. I'll agree it's one of the best looking 90's Jap cars. Tbh, i'd say it's one of the best looking Jap car's full stop, although they do need tweaks.
Don't mess with it too much bar sorting out the atrocious wiring etc. And definitely keep it locked away in the winter... Mazda's of any age seem to love to rust to bit's. Even the new stuff!

reason the horn doesn't work is prob down to the wiring...
what you have to understand half of the stuff in there could be for things you wouldn't ever consider being in a car...
in japan they have toll gate electronic pass machines, so instead of slowing down and stopping to pay, they have a unit in the car that has credit on that they can just drive through a toll.
also a lot of cars that come over, ALOT of parts get robbed at the docs by people, so this might of had a turbo timer, gauges etc and they get removed at the docs in japan and even on the ships, if its a roll on roll off.
when it comes to fitting low current drawing things like the above they get slapped in with scotch locks, even though they are a complete c**t, the jap scotch locks are a lot better than what is used in the uk!
gaz, if you are really stuck and fancy a weekend or a couple days down south, bring it to me, I'm working with a mate who owns a tuning company now he is a rx7 specialist, i will take a day or 2 off and help you for free
can even crash at mine if you need to.

Been sorting the electrics out over a few spare hours.
First up, a lack of reverse lights. Whipped the clusters out of the bumper, found they were unplugged. Plugged them in to get a weird bluey green light, turns out I had these for reverse bulbs!
So I swapped them for some proper bulbs, and that was one silly little job out of the way.
Ripped all the silly random wiring out too...
The mystery switch turned out to just be wired into thin air behind the dash. The AT-015 "aircon remote control thingy" box didn't take much work once I unplugged the ignition. Fortunately I didn't have to solder as the scotchblocks had barely damaged the insulation, so a bit of 'leccy tape sorted that.
All I have to do now wiring wise is wire in my km/h to mph converter, figure out the stereo (also find the aerial lead, that's disappeared), wire in a rear fog light, find if there are any horns behind the bumper/repair them and also get an alarm installed.

LOL, I have done some soldering too, I just got away with covering some slightly bare wires in the ignition with tape.
Fogs? Have you even read where I found those?!
