GDI/AWT 182, ???bhp

I am picking up my 182 from GDI tommorrow (hopefully).

Spec is,

AWT billet cams
AWT stage 1 manifold
OMEX 600
172 ph1 cable throttle body
viper
sports cat
2.5" custom single exit exhaust
silicone bend

Leda coilovers

Do not have a power figure yet hopefully 205bhp!?

Will post up graph pics etc. when I get it back.

I've seen it ;)

...I'd hope for anything over 200bhp but tbh honest power figures aren't everything! That cable throttle and Ben's cams along with the omex controlling everything should make it rev super quick and pull like a train. You will be one very happy customer ;)

True.

I asked Andy for a road application with plenty of torque/driveability. The bhp figure is what it will be judged on generally but as you said not that important in real world driving.

evening estimate... it will go down before i goto the rollers so i am happy when i come back.

bingo!

and the cams really really do push the midrange torque something amazing.

Quite costly mate has they are custom made billet items (well worth it!).....not re-grinds like my trusty ol pipers lol

some minor teething problems with the electronics.... just love em... all going well otherwise.

Ben/Andy. Would this package work with the standard throttle body and a remap or piggy back ECU on a 182. My main interest is the mid range torque. How much difference does the viper make, and what about the small actuator on the air intake just behind the headlamp?

Yes, Bens cams (the mild ones) will work with the standard TB with an smt piggyback unit to control fuelling.

Not a fan of the viper personally, but it seems to give reasonable gains.

Bin the actuator, its pointless

i have just installed my hillpower, i kept the stock feed but added a new one in the lower grill has worked really well no twist or bend but then again i have a cup so it was easier.

this actuator ? is it going to be slowing my car down at the minute ? ive not touched any stock piping just added a new one and am running both + semi open filter. theres no light on the dash and it seems to pull really smothly now from low revs so i dont need to rag it, just blip and use torque.

so is it ok to leave the actuator on or will i get more gains with it off ?

if its on, leave it.....no affect.

If your running large bore ducting, bin it.....its in the way.

but i run both straight 65mm bore to semi open + stock feed dual feeds right to filter.

I noticeed a loss of low down torque with my maxogen fitted and the actuator removed. Doesn't it restrict the airflow until certain revs ( crankcase vacuum?) for maximum torque? Only what I read... Maybe I need a remap lol
