motorised screen in a mk1 valver

will a motorised screen ( satnav dvd etc ) fit in a mk 1.8 valver ? cos there is a bit of an overhand on the DIN slot and the slot is also at an angle

I thought about this in my old mk1 rt, i dont think it will fit because the head unit slightly faces upwards at an angle and also the cover hangs over a bit, it you remove the cover i dont know if it will fit. Dont quote me on this though!

why not move your heater controls down to the radio slot and install your screen there, or if your feeling brave, remove heater vents and fit it in there. a bit of fibreglassing needed, but not impossible.

ive been thinking bout putting the controles down to the DIN slot and the DIN slot up there. but im gna see if the unit will fit in today. then if not. ill have to move sum stuff around. only bummer is that the heater controles on my car are cables ( oldschool ) and im not sure if there long enough to be moved.
