Even better, as said it'll tidy up rear perfectly I think the standard renault sport badge looks cheap and nasty tbh lol good work so far mate

A quick vid, it does sound brilliant but the sound on my phone is rubbish, it sounds mint in person, throttle response is deffinately alot better...

I just got a v6 airbox + piperx filter last month so i'm regretting opening this up because now I need this set up..

Did you remove the standard CAF where the filter is placed behind the headlight?

Yes mate, ive removed the acoustic valve and both the feeds as you can plumb in much better ones when they are taken out.

Just awaiting the air feeds.

Nice thread mate! What vxr did you have? i had a stage 2 astra and have also now got an arctic 182 :D

Hi mate i had a stage 3 arden corsa vxr. and traded it in for a corsa vxr nurburgring edition.

I cant help but like the sh!tty clio more tho, its a weird kinda love lol.

Oh right I better look into removing the CAF's.

Pretty sure I found the 90 degree induction pipe on ebay but what filter did you use? Nearest one I found was this one, not sure if it's the same as yours:

Awesome! i do love the new nurburgring corsas!

Kinda the same really, but i can't help missing it, really miss the sound on full chat, was a great car at 21 lol

I was going to mate but i changed my mind, i prefere the more origional look but just up to date abit if you get me lol, i prefere a badge at either side.

Rerfurbished wheels in vauxhall moonland grey, they look mint in the flesh its a really nice colour which compliments arctic blue really well. I was going to get them done in vauxhall technical grey but i wanted something a little lighter, but then again darker than the origional colour, and this is somewhere in between.

Terrible pic as it was getting dark but ill get some more up after a clean...

Ive been really busy this weekend giving the car a good seeing to, 16 hours in total.

Yesterday i hoovered it out, cleaned all the carpets, mats and treated the alcantara, leather and all trims and plastics etc, it looks like new inside now.

Then i snowfoamed the car then pressure washed, wheels and arches cleaned, car washed then pressure washed down then clayed, washed again then dryed and then taped up for the chemical guys v34 compound, finally i used metal polish on the exhaust and bullets. After a long day it was garaged for the night.

Today i started with a quick detailer to remove any dust that might have settled, mabe should have washed but tbh it looked very clean.

So this time around was the chemical guys v36 and then i finally finished off with with v38. Its the 1st time i have used a da polisher and its more hard work than it looks, its a very long and tiring job when you go over the full car 3 times!

Next up i put on a layer of dodojuice purple haze aswell as on my freshly painted alloys, i then buffed it off and removed all the tape before treating all rubbers, plastics, tyres and arches. Finally i cleaned all the windows inside and out.

Ive probably missed some things but you get the idea, the car looks almost new now, im really pleased with it.

Heres a few pics, i only have a 3mpxl camera phone but you can sort of make out how clean it is...

Yes im pleased with them mate, they were letting the car down tbh, im over the moon with the car at the moment.

Yours is looking very nice mate, perfectionist lol. New brakes and grooved discs are next for me, some nice and shiny discs behind the wheels lol.

Then im going to tidy the engine bay up, its pretty clean but the origional items are looking abit tatty, im thinking of some chrome covers for the battery etc.

Yeah same here mate, mine are almost all rust, I really should get them changed :D
As for the engine bay, the components seem to get a dusty spotty finish on them dont they :rasp:

Lol yes they do, i did give the engine bay a clean but i didnt take any pics as it doesnt look any different tbh lol.

Id love to blast it with snowfoam and pressure wash it but i darnt haha.

I decided to paint my calipers a more subtle silver as the bright red ones looked too tacky and brembo wannabe on the standards imo...

That looks much better now! Standard chrome diamonds look much better especially with the new RS rear badge.

Little update...

I decided to remove my under bonnet sound deadening carpet, i also polished my aircon pipes, treated the rubbers and hoses and gave the engine bay a general clean.

I then sprayed the manifold and fuel rail bmw sparkling graphite and the engine cover arden blue as my local parts shop didnt have arctic blue in stock.

The paint was only £3.99 and ive got plenty of primer and laquer so i can always do the engine cover again as this was the easiest bit, although i quite like it as it is tbh.

I also sanded and polished the renaultsport back up on the manifold, i am just awaiting my 20L 16v sticker to go on the engine cover then ill be looking at chrome battery and fuse box covers etc.

Total cost... £3.99 :)
