So i decided to spray the grill satin black today to match the other plastics as it was really fading almost blue/grey in colour.

just taken off the car...

washed and de-greased...

dried and masked the renault stickers up to keep the oem look...

That grill looks fantastic mate! Mine has gone grey like yours and I was thinking of doing this! Did you sand any of it down? and what sort of primer and paint did you use?

No i didnt sand it mate as its pretty smooth tbh.

I used plastic primer and satin black paint, no laquer as i wanted a more oem look.

I fitted the grill today which looks ace so i decided to do a little bit more painting as the other plastics didnt look as good, i havnt done the lower front grill as it would be hard to get a good finish with all the little squares, i also decided not to do front the splitter as it would chip and scrape too much.

So i decided to just do the back bumper strip and the fog surrounds...

They've come up a treat, mate. I think I might have to follow suit and do the same at some point soon. I also need to refurb the carbon fibre splitter as it's looking a bit worse for wear. I look forward to seeing the pics of the parts fitted. :D

I wet sanded the bumper strip and fog surrounds today to smooth them even more as i wasnt 100% on the finish, i then re-painted satin black, they are now as smooth as a slap heads crown!

I didnt remover the bumper, i got a flat head screw driver with a rag over the end, gently prised it off at both corners then pulled the clips out working towards the middle, if any clips were stuck then i prised them out.

It did eventually come out but if i were to do it again i would take the bumper off as i slightly marked the strip in the corner, although i have now smoothed it back over with 600 grade paper so its not visible.

So if you do it my way you will probably mark the strip mate because the clips are in very strong.

No problem mate, im still learning the ins and outs of these cars myself as its my 1st renault :)

Me too mate, ive had vauxhalls since 2008 and a few other brands before that.

Its the nimble feel of these, you can throw it round a bend and control it just where how want, its like going karting lol.

Cheers pal, its getting there, there seems to be little bits and bobs that bug me until i sort them and when i eventually sort them, something else annoys me! :)

I like what you have done with the brakes and the red/blue looks smart. Bulbs look tidy and the right height is perfect!!
Not a fan of the number plate surrounds i think there a little untidy! (My personal opinion)
Looks great all in all!

Gave it a good clean yesterday and then decided to put it in the garage just before the rain started, i havnt had it out today hoping for the rain to stop but it hasnt

I payed particular attention to the engine bay, polishing all the alloy and aircon pipes, applying carpet cleaner to the engine carpet at the back of the bay, applying rubber restorer to the hoses and waxing the engine cover, its looking pretty decent now, better thean showroom condition if i may say so myself...
