Awesome car.Μaster cylinder(23.8), is from Pegeuot 406??

Also interested to know this? Im pretty sure the clio 197/200 uses a 23.8mm master cylinder aswell. Been quoted £83 from Renault for one so might take the plunge, if its wrong ohwell only 80 quid.

Hello guys.

I’ve finally have got some time for an update of the RIKUS car.

Firstly some picture with the JMS RS2 fitted. Man! What a bit of kit! It’s pretty, and it performs! We even manage to pull extra horse out of it with our Semi GR/n cam tool and other head to manifold adjustment. Result is outstanding 204 Horse power ,199.6hp (din corrected) with standard cam and standard engine internal as well as standard rev limiter.

It was not like that at first test on chassis dyno with result as low as 161 hp at 6900 rpm to were we are right now, a lot of work as been done in development as well as choosing the right associated part to make the engine acoustic perfect. We can say now that we know pretty much how to tune that awesome piece of a kit from Stone Automotive.

More update to come…………..

  Golf GTD Mk7
looking good mate. Is the red line torque? If so it's really low for a modded 1*2. Standards tend to peak at about 150 ish.

  Clio Cup by RIKUS
Yes!

204HP (199.6 hp din corrected) at 6900RPM
175 HP to the wheel
157.6 foot/pound force of torque flat from 2700 RPM to 6900 RPM

it is impressive ! 100hp per liter.

and as reference, last track day the car was able to follow on strait line the megane 3 RS trophy as well as the megane 2 RS R26R... it pull like a truck !

Fantastic results there dude, i bet thats fun :)

What’s next for it then?

Don't know how I have missed this one, love the whole car!

Cheers Ross.

Well... there are 2 pieces brake disc off my trader section :rasp: (285mmx26) but I did not take the time to take picture but it will ultimately come...

But on the other hand I have track data.....

I was breaking better that all megane 3 and 2 RS as well or better than Porsches or lotus ect... with very low working temperature.

After 40 minutes of track on slick tires (so hard use) disc were at 250 Celsius and caliper at 100 Celsius.

I was using CL RC6 that day but the working temperature of my system demonstrate that i could probably get away with road or fast road break pad and be just as fast.... I'll be testing another product of my trader section which is Black diamond fast road pad rated up to 500+ Celsius.

I've also fitted B14 coil over my "Via rouge circuit" because the car is lighter and lighter and as you can imagine high adjustment became necessary, but in the process the handling and the balance that i had with my via rouge went to SXXt and i have to take the car to a wheel to wheel weight adjustment to restore that neutral balance that fit my driving style. that too I did not take picture. :S

What next..... is a wider front and rear end gr/a style... with some parts off the Renault Cup racer, and some parts of other Renault model (specific drive shaft, specific hub to be modified, ect... ) car should be wider in the front by 2 to 3 cm (1") without using spacer. and everything should be plug and play.

Find below pics of parts necessary from the Clio cup racer.

I'll be shortly posting pics and video of my last track day. i hope you enjoy my thread.

Some news !.

I've spotted Drive shaft compatible to install my Cup racer front end. just need to go get them....

And as a major news i'm organising a track day in france for the 21st of April at the "les ecuyer" Track near Paris,...

If you guys can drive you are welcome!

Yeah for sure, very interested in group n settings along with the RS2 manifold and also what driveshafts you used for the cup racer suspension.

Coming back to previous page i realise that quiet a bit is missing....

weComing back to previous page I realize that quiet a bit is missing....

well as an excuse… I would say that i had a difficult year where I fell of my bike at 75 M/h :dead: and shortly after i divorced

But to cut a long story short on my last track day in march 2012, my clutch scattered and my Quaife died (he was locking randomly or not locking also randomly) making the car un-drivable….

In the good news side
I have a sexy girlfriend, my bike was repaired and sold,
The clio after beign more than a year with the engine in one corner of the workshop the gearbox in an other and the car outside…. Is finally back together and running…

With again a bit of upgrade ….
Clutch kit was replaced with stage 2 black diamond clutch kit (Kevlar bits )
Quaife was upgraded to 2012 spec done free by Quaife

Using 100% Renault part I have built a short gear ratio gear box….. Not to be confused with a short final ratio….
Top speed at 7000 is 127 M/H
Very short 1st, original 2nd , short 3/4/5…. The result is almost no differences between gears… turning the car into a very, very efficient machine…

I have replaced my front A frame with brand new one originally made for clio V6.

And as you expect my cup racer set is is on and working.

After all I’m using Renault safrane upright, hub and bearing from a laguna 1, bottom mount of the Billstein cup racer shock to match the upright…. Very specific driveshaft….
Right side drive shaft from a laguna 1 mk2 2.0l(f4r)
Left side drive shaft from a laguna 1 mk1 2.2D
Any other set up won’t work… and I have tried many…..

Replaced my front spring for 8kg and replaced the whole rear set up with a set of spax coilover sold on the trader section.

How can I say…… the result is incredible of efficiency. …. Using street tires I feel that I have slicks on…. Crazy :hail:

When I had time to be bored I have swapped a V6 in a Laguna 1 estate as well as more recently a Meganne 3 250 engine in my everyday Laguna 2…

I will find some photos for you now

Good news on the old wife and sexy girlfriend, not so on the bike crash.

I would like to see pictures of the v6 a-frames and how you have put everything together. I need shafts to suit a full cup racer suspension setup but with a jc5 gearbox.

Also do you have measurements in millimetres for your shafts?

V6 Aframe are similar than clio 2 182 just with the particularity to have really hard bushing to handle the 1.4T and the big brake(big weight transfer) of the beast . the other + is that is come cheaper that an normal A frame.... stiffer and cheaper

For the drive shaft I've listed above where i found compatible drive shaft. ( i have a JC5 gearbox(hybride internaly but JC5)

Just read this from the start. Looks a great project and loving the brakes and interesting lead on the shocks.

Dare I ask how much the 16" oz f1s were? Do you know if he can get more?

Noos this looks fantastic, are you still selling the brembo brackets for 1*2? Steel steering rack bushings?

I can't find your trader section anymore?

By the way can you get 197/225 brembos under 15 inch wheels?

Yes as i mentioned aboved i had a dificult year.

About the trader section I need to contact the admin to re-open It. a lot is to expect as we are building a large catalogue dedicated to renault Sport.

We will have many set of braket :) one for a 280 oem disk set up, one for a set of 280x26 or 28 set up with 2 pieces brake disk, and a final one for 325/330 mm set up also with 2 pieces disk price of a kit with nuts and bolts will be around 150 to 175 quid.

As well as timing tools.....

About the brake with special set of weels like the one use on my cup (the ugly shning silver one) I can go up to 289mm disk with 15 inch wheel. but not all of them will have the right offset you nee a minimum of ET40.

2 crazy guys on a french forum fitted 300mm disk under 15 inches by grinding off the caliper hoooo ugly job they did .

Yeah chip has squeezed 300mm scenic disks under his 15" oz f1's with some calliper grinding, everything is a little too close for my liking even with 30mm spacers.

I tried to fit renault 15" oz f1's to your old friend seiz's 280mm brackets and they need 30mm spacers with 197/225 brembos, they also need 25mm spacers to fit 15" et48.5 (cup racer) 2118's.

yes that is too close to my liking too... lik i was explaining he will finde more braking porwer by adjusting his bias and increasind the thickness of his disk than going bigger :)

Seize was updated to Ass -hxxx has a good friend of mine to who he made a gear box job (poor one ) still waiting after almost 2 years for a working gearbox to be delivered.... anyhow that is an other story and in the past concerning me....

like you guys say what turne around come around :bump:
