my old mans getting a 172

we are picking it up tomorrow (fingers crossed) its a mk2 in flame red.

he drove a silver one and thought it was sweet, but does not want a silver one.

So hes getting a red one, a 52 plate with sat nav+ some other stuff (i dunno what)

hes decided to relive his childhood, (hes in his 50s)

should be good, ive never been in one, + now hes got a car that will whoop my ass (hes goin from a cavalier 2.0 cdx)

so it should be sweet !

I am seeing a lot of older men driving 172s, yesterday a blue on overtook me **03DNF the man driving it was definately in his middle fiftys.

Are 172s now old men cars instead of young ladies cars???

Im sure both of you will have plenty of fun in it. Good choice in colour, its the same as mine. I didnt get sat nav and being a female 172 driver surprisingly enough ive not been to the supermarket or kookai in it as im too busy having fun on the road.

well folks had my post hi jacked about scotland (i dont mind really)

i had this afternoon off work so that we could pick it up, he asked me to go with him incase i spot something dodgy about it (extra pair of eyes and all that) hes paid some thing towards it but hasnt seen it yet, but he knew the colour.

i got home they hadnt phoned, so he rang them and.......



its still sitting where they left it, it didnt even make it to the transporter!

they reckon the air bag warning light came on so they didnt want to move it (thats what they reckon) so fingers crossed its goin to be sat.

Im goin to have an even closer look at it before we take it away.

If my old man has it he is taking it to Silverstone on sun as he and my brother are watching the F1. (no doubt he will race some things on the way there)

Sorry, didnt mean to hi jack your post earlier on. I know what its like to have a delay on your car. Ended up not getting mine for five extra days as it had a technical block put on it. Dealer never did tell me what the problem actually was. Anyway, the wait will be worth it.
