Transmission loss on a FWD car is usually around 18% iirc
i definetly wouldn of recommended that place mate. the guy who runs it doesnt have a clu about things. i was going to put my old one on there, but after seeing the place (incl that fan) i said i didnt want to waste my money.
Good work, where did the tw*t strip come from?
15bhp from a remap is never going to happen kie....
he's pulling your pisser mate
yeh the calculation from wheel to fly is wrong, mine made 145bhp at the wheels which was worked out to 172bhp at the fly which is around 20% loss (give or take couple of percent) through transmission. when i had mine cammed it then made 154bhp at the wheels. fly figures shouldnt even be looked at as it depends how they work it out. the wheel figure is most important as thats whats really happening
Definatly worth checking the timing if the belt has been done.
what do you mean about the belt and timing ? can you expand on it for me .
maybe the cam timing is slightly out if the belt has been done by someone not very experienced (no offence if this is you) but not timed up bang on. could cause a loss of bhp but if your saying it goes like shat off a shovel then i wouldnt worry too much.
yes i might get it on another places rollers when my mate takes the nurburgring to it . just i dont want to throw too much money at just finding out how much power etc it has . all i know is it already goes like :quiet: lol
lol no its not stupidity if you dnt know you dnt know do ya. yeh when it was done. i see what you mean when you say coming from a 1.2 i did the same.
Exactly what I posted before mate! You know it's rapid, so just spend your money on V-Power and enjoy it!!
:race:
so i need a garage to check out the timing on the cambelt ? if so is this not a big job ?
love your thinking :approve: you fitted your matched inlets yet ? i was looking at getting them you :rasp:
What did it make?
Not convinced by that though lad, the wheel figures are both the same, and trans. losses dont change.
what are you thinking , it could be less at the fly or the whole reading just looks dodgy ?
