i was looking at changing my rear lights (hides behind sofa) on my 172cup. having seen the sexy 307cc lights and the BMW M3 LED lights i was wanting as closer to original spec style lights but just with some LED`s in i always notice a car with those fitted and for some reason i get a bit transfixed on them like there flashing really fast but anyways there good for safety as people will pay more attention.

are these any good or too chav.. they lok very simular to the stock ones but at £99 or there abouts its a pricey mistake to make if they look carbage

also given the colour of the cup would the darker versions of these fit.

just think the rear lights are nice but a bit 1.2 ish and wanted to change.

yea sure there the closest match and not too different but i guess wether something has good aftermarket lights or not people instantly think chaver if you change them..

ohh well im not brave enough to stand out maybe il just keep stock ones.

btw stupid quiestion can LED bulbs be modded to make a hybrid rear light on stock cluster ?

I dont mind them!! Wouldnt put them on mine, but know what you mean. The latest audis are mint with them. For rear light (with headlamps) theres a ring of LEDs. Then when you brake the who unit lights up!!

a fair point and one im concious of completley living in one of the worst chav towns ever i would fit in too much lol.

but i guess what im wanting is the same lights as stock but with LED`s ala BMW Audi as you cant deny there really cool on those models..

the 307cc lights look awesome. but thats because theyre all plain red and they light up with red LED strips.


like i say, just my opinion but if i saw them on a 172/182 id just think to myself ''oh god, hows a chav afforded an RS clio''

theres a 172 round here with ALLOY wiper blades and ''lexus'' rear lights (which never look anything like any lexus lights).. it makes me cringe everytime i see it.

I went in motorworld for a laugh a couple of weeks ago, oh i did giggle to myself at some of the tacky shite they have there, the lights cought my attension the most tho they really do look tacky just what there made of looks so cheap and nasty definatly not worth wasting your money on.

i know what you mean its like walking a tight rope. sure silly ass bodykit and spoilers are bound to get comments, il make them as much as anyone.. but some lights ?

I think theyre alright, but as someone else said its the holes that spoil it.
I'm looking for some lights aswell cause the orangey standard light doesnt suit the blue of the cup imo. Does anyone know of a plain red rear light?

ok.. cringefest is over peeps i was just asking lol lol i wasnt that bothered just wanted to know if they were shite and 90% say yes.

i would get some complete red ones i.e like MK1 clio if there were non drilled bulbs in but again i dont think this will happen so at £100 i could just spend £50 more and get my inlet manifold done by GDI money better spent i think
