  A special one.
I Iove Robs "don't give a fcuk attitude" tbh it looks good when rob brought it to my house and the wheel's are alot lighter in the flesh.

Anyway its a track ****, who cares.

I cleaned some of the wheels.

Black ones will be for sale V soon .. and the tyres from the silver ones.

Two of the black ones have been walloped and look like this..

Tyres are all almost new though.

I don't dislike the blue wheels, but i think i preferred it on silver wheels.. good effort though.

  Mini GP2
Pefer the silver items but it still looks cool with the blue wheels. You can't beat a Sunflower Phase 1.

When you said cleaned the wheels... I was very happy to realise it wasn't the blue ones and the paint hadn't all fallen off.

Eta. I want these back if you ever sell it. Even just to stick in the garage. I still think they are awesome.

Guess I'd better update you all on the progress of the Funflower.

So, back in April it was washed. Since then, it has not been. (I lie - it got COVERED in albatros sh*t at work and I hosed it off).

The blue wheels were added, they were taken off again during the rainy season before the track sessions started.

Some blue seats were fitted:

It did Snetterton and Cadwell without drama.

It posed for one of the last photos of the Chipipedia bananabus..

Bedford was done last week at the RenaultSport event (brilliant, BTW) and I finally got to use the blue wheels on track !

Then, this turned up at work:

Turns out it needed cleaning .. so, I did:

JFC, what a turnaround...

So, then I fitted it.

That's about it.......

Until next time..

Still love the blue wheels, inspired choice. That wheel almost gives me hope although mine is pretty much black on top. Just the usual nail brush and soap combo?

I will be giving my wheel a clean this weekend. Really impressed with the results that have been posted recently.

Turns out I haven't actually updated this for a while. Just renewed with Greenlight so it means I've had it a year !!

Where were we.........

So yeah, Bedford. That was good .. Went there once more later in the year and then Snetterton in Sept - maybe somewhere else inbetween? - and then limped home from Snett with poor brakes.

1273154_10154671802250154_874629262033119081_o.jpg

Friend who came with me to Snett was a bit heavy on the brakes (which were no-idea-how-old and 5+ track days in by then..) and kept coming straight in .. so they were making some funny noises by the end of the day. They still mostly worked .. I just turned the radio up to get home.

Parked the Sunphlower up on the drive and left it alone until this week when I finally got round to buying some brakes, which @AlexW fitted on Tuesday night....

Re-connected the battery and the bloody thing fired up without so much as a hiccup after being sat since the end of September.

Whups.
Turns out - they were done for.

Brembo HCs. DS3000s, supergold fluid. Lets say they stop well and I haven't so much as got them hot yet...
#Endo

Next weekend we'll be doing the driveshafts and a few other things which need doing and then it's ready for 2015.

Bedford on 28th booked up .. http://www.cliosport.net/threads/saturday-28th-feb-2015-bedford-season-opener-track-day.760936/

I want to do the 3 RenaultSport MSV days and then find a couple of others in between.

That'll probably do !

I really like the blue wheels, when I read the hate at the top of the page I was cringing but wow, really nice choice!!

Ha cheers. I don't really worry about what other people think. It's not like I've put blue wheels on an F40 or something.....

They're not really too blue any longer - more hint-of-brake-dust brown.
