sun roof fixed at last!!!

After trying several options sealing the thing myself I decided to get it done properly. With quotes ranging from £115 to over £300 I went with the cheapest option as the guy seamed to be the most knowledgeable.

Now I have no leaks! Just waiting for the car to dry out now.

If anyone needs theirs done Id recommend a visit to South West Sunroofs in Devon. Its just the one guy in his garage and you get a free cup of tea from the guys wife.

I got the body seal and the glass seal done for £115. The glass seal has an extra lip on it which looks like it will seal better than the standard renault one.

silicone cheap mod get it done properly!!!!!

Dont it dry harden and crack?

Cant look that nice when it comes to selling it.........

ive tried silicone on mine. Worked for a bit then started again after todays rain, i think its started to leak in around the black plastic right round the edge:(

I tried sealing mine on the outside, lifted the plastic up and put sealant under it. I also sealed the inside, pulled all the roof lining down. Nothing worked at all!

Im just glad its fixed now, its defo worth the money.

Now that I dont have any water in the car I have noticed the my tempermental rear wiper now seams to be working all the time. Also the batery light used to flash sometimes when I have the lights on and used the windows or the breaks. Thats seams to have stopped now too. Oh and another thing, the alarm system used to randomly lock itself when the car was not running but unlocked, I think thats stopped happening too. Must have been shorts going on all over the place!

I think my speakers might have water damaged though :( could just be a loose screw like it was last time, I hope.

It worked for a while, but its leakin bad as ever this week! I think my leak isnt a bad when i dont have my subs blasting (think this lossens the seals) and when i park my car on a flat road (so no water is running directly under the sunroof seals)

My leaky clio is anoying and its common fault has put me off scrimping and saving for a williams which will probably have a water feature!
