wow wtf
Why'd you bin off the Up?Fucked the Up! GTI off after 5 months. Took a bit of an L but not as bad as you might think, between mine being delivered and now they’ve stopped production so that probably helped. That and I’d only done about 1800 miles!
Replacement is this.

I had a MK7.5 GTI on lease back in 2017-19. Adored it and should’ve bought it off VWFS.
Righted that wrong and got this. Manual, Performance model.
Instantly feels like I never left. They’re so bloody good it’s unbelievable. Keeper.

Yeah Im not a fan, never have been, there are worse wheels but these are pretty awful. Those standard OEM wheels are so s**t. But other than that, nice motors 👍🏻
Na, dont want to go bigger.19" Pretorias will sort that
Wasnt clicking for me. After spending loads on wheels, tyres, suspension, it still wasnt quite right. I've always missed my 7.5 GTI so ended up getting a nice low mileage one! Why'd you bin off the Up?
19" Pretorias will sort that
I certainly need a second opinion from another independent garage, it’s finding one that’s trustworthy that’s the issue. So any recommendations for somewhere east Manchester would be appreciated? You need a price from an independent garage don’t you.
I’ve replaced a couple and if it’s soldered in like most is quite simple if you have a steady hand and a soldering iron. Definately worth a go as they are only a few quid.anyone swapped a micro switch in a VW key before. The unlock button has stopped working on our key.
Wondering how hard it is and if I’ll end up just ruining the key. Or maybe I should just pay the £1million that VW will want for a new programmed key
This is the key type in question

Except gearboxes ? When I was toying with the ideea of an A7, the fb groups were full of the 'gearbox issue 'If it's the V6 tdi, very little goes wrong with them.
Can't remember if the ZF was 7 or 8 speed, but I think that was only on the BiTurbo, and if I remember correctly, that was the 'trouble free' one.Aye that's the bit that puts me off. The 7 speed box is cack for mechatronic issues and likely to bleed me dry one day
Had our Audi in our local specialists to check for an oil leak it’s got at the moment.
This is what they have come back with.

The car is only worth about £4K+ and now in a not sure what to do position?
Ignoring the service at the bottom which I can easily do myself I’m a bit snookered with the rest of it.
I was back over at Awesome last Friday for a couple of bits:
Interim service
Powerflex dogbone insert
Racingline OEM+ ECU & TCU remap
I went for the red insert which is the softest available, it's actually made for the GTD I believe. There's quite a bit of vibration at idle and a lot more again when reverse is selected, but it should ease down once I've put some miles on. Otherwise it'll be coming out
The map is superb, can't really fault it at all. Drivability is much improved, power delivery is smooth and the gearbox is a lot less lazy.
Before 256/288 | After 318/347 - A bit more than anticipated to be honest.

I’ll drop you a PM.They map well these MK8 Gti not clubspott are seeing 340bhp on just Racingline stage 1 mad power really.
How many pennies did it cost?
That's lovely, always liked them a lot. Were they all quattro?
I thought that one would be a B4?B3 Audi 80 Coupe’s were both FWD and quattro.
I don't know a lot about them to be honest, tried to find some decent buyer's guides or a decent YouTube video of someone reviewing a standard one, but not much out there, seem to be massively overshadowed by the RS2.
I thought that one would be a B4?
But the S2, they were quattro right?B3 Audi 80 Coupe’s were both FWD and quattro.
