Well I've picked it up. I absolutely love it! Not as engaging as the mini, but far more comfortable, deceivingly quick. I think it looks fantastic as well.

Dirty and dark picture of the RS3, will have had it 5 years in March.

Still don’t know what I’d change it for today that I wouldn’t have to sell a kidney to afford.

Also still does alright on fuel, this was a 3 hour run down the M4/M5, wasn’t babying it either.

My mate has this van:

IMG_6214.jpeg

It’s remapped and requires a DMF. This is the correct kit, right? It’s not a T5 but the description makes me think it’ll fit.

It’s in the garage getting some other bits done, and as it’s on 150,000 on the same turbo he is thinking of either getting a new oem turbo or an uprated one. Is there a common upgrade that people go for, without going OTT on upgrading other parts?

4 days into Skoda Yeti Ownership. I'm enjoying it so far. Driving position is great, it's plenty pokey enough, can chuck it about more than you'd think too.
Not a bad car overall.

It's booked in for belts next week as these are due now, and it needs 4 tyres at some point as these are aged with cracks in them 🙃

Need to get the berlingo cleaned up this weekend and put up for sale, going to be sad to see it go but needs must.

Stuck a CarPlay box in the RS3, more for longer journeys as having access to things it offers will be useful.

Does the job and was easy enough to fit.

Would rather it as a factory fit option, but as mine is a pre facelift with the older MMI system I’d need to upgrade it all to the newer hardware which isn’t cheap, and then you have a mismatch with some of the dash light colours.

VW experts lets talk annoying rear creaking type noise for the rear of a Passat cc.....

I now have two of these. It's an annoying creaking type noise over bumps. I've had it looked at and he reckons it could be rear subframe bushes or maybe the shocks. I am taking it to another chap who is better at this stuff sometime this week.

It's not bad bad but want to get it sorted before I advertise it. Drives spot on so hopefully can get this put right.

The Headlight level sensor ball joints can cause random squeaks when they start to seize,
iirc the Passat CC has one on all 4 suspension arms, just spray some wd40 in the joint and see if it stops.

Ok. A little update on the Passat and think it's been flashing for a while but I've not noticed until tonight lol. The DCC light is blinking and the ride Ive noticed is firm, I'm guessing with the rear knocking the shocks are fooked. Have read it could be a wiring issue stopping them working correctly but I can't be that lucky??

I have a scammer, will plug it in tomorrow. Has to be the rear shock that's knackered unless they are stuck in place and just knock, unlikely that lol
