One of my more expensive lockdown purchases...

  Cupra, Fiesta ST2
I have had a few VAG cars over the year. Started with a rot box Mk3 Golf TDI which I sold on quickly.
Then moved onto a Mk3 Ibiza Sport

Then bought a Mk4 TDi Sport (was rebranded to FR after the facelift, same as the Fabia VRS). It was used for a feature in Redline mag. I owned both red ones in this image

Crashed the Mk4 and replaced it was a slightly ropey A3 Quattro

Then came a Mk2 Ibiza GTi Cupra Sport which was turned into a track car, would lap circuits on times similar to a slightly fettled 182 Trophy

The 2nd Red Mk4 (the one above) was bought off a friend to run as a daily alongside the track car.

I then moved away from VAG, until my Alfa died so bought another ratty Golf.
Fast forward until now and I have a Cupra 290 Black

Love the GTI. I nearly bought one of the Kiwi Yellow ones before I bought my 172 Cup in 2013/4. They looked great with the white wheels. I wasn't that impressed with the drive at the time but, looking back, part of me still wishes I'd bought it.

Love hot hatches from that era.

As standard the Clio wipes the floor. By the time you have done coilovers, rear ARB, bushes, stripped, etc it is a completely different animal!

My old DSG R:

Best all-rounder I've ever owned, but ultimately just lacking in a bit of involvement.

That looked lovely. The Prets were so much nicer than the standard wheels, and white, red and silver are great colours for the R. Far too many people went for blue.

Yeah I imagine they respond quite well to modifying, and I guess there is a lot you can do as they share so much with Golfs and Polos.

It was actually quite difficult to find bits, while lots of design was copied from the Mk2 & Mk3 Golf GTis, the geometry was different. For example, the rear shocks had the same mounts as a Mk2 Golf, but a different length.

I had one of those ABF Ibiza GTi's for a bit. And my bro had 2 - he loved them. The gearbox in them was nasty though, dunno if mine was broken but first seemed to be pretty much where the tax disc went. Great value though.

Looks lush. Love them in red.

No supersport seats though. Much of a spec otherwise?
it’s pretty loaded - sport diff, adaptive cruise etc. think everything except the SS seats (these can be retro fitted I guess)

full Audi SH too.

  VW T5.1
Some people love them and others love to hate them but here's my second T6.View attachment 1571554

I don't really get the hate. I've had a T4 and currently have a t5.1 that I've had just over 3 years.

Other than an ABS Sensor the t5 has been spot on. I tow with it, go to Scotland with it and it just keeps going despite all the horror stories online.

I have had both transit customs and transporters. To be honest as a work horse the transit was better but for something to actually want to live with the transporter is far better in my opinion.

I’ve just realised it’s an S4. Thought it was just an S-Line TDI. Whoops 😬

Couldn’t understand why folk were making a fuss.

As in one that gives you the options from the VIN?

The Audi app does this from what I remember.

My three Nazi b******s.

The edition 30 was rapid, quicker than the Golf R was once rolling. I lost count of the amount of cars i burned in that, seriously quick.

The R was a great motor, fantastic all rounder, as said, a little numb to drive, however would have another.

The Up was hilarious fun with 150bhp, far too expensive for what it was though.
