Standard is usually +/- 0.2mm, those are well out.I’ve asked them to confirm their drawing tolerances. Find it difficult to believe one can be so far out…. Even if they were machining by hand, you’d expect them to clock up.
This makes the third time I’ve taken the wheels off aswell now. Doesn’t sound like much, but they’re a pain in the arse given how much they weigh.
I still want the spacers back on though. Looks horrific with the wheels sunk into the arches.
That’s really really poor. I did my apprenticeship in a machine shop and our tolerances whilst we were using the machines for the first time were stricter than what you’ve actually paid for!View attachment 1572351

Found the wheel wobble issue. Thickness difference (max to min) measured across 5 points on each spacer:
Spacer 1 - 0.025mm
Spacer 2 - 0.035mm
Spacer 3 - 0.008mm
Spacer 4 - 0.718mm
Apologies for the lack of spreadsheet

Been a while since we had an update.
Bought a trailer which had ‘been serviced recently’ which required s**t loads of work.
Managed 25mpg towing the Clio over to Snetterton the other week. Didn’t die even though I never did my test
Only observations are:
- trackdays are much better when you arrive and leave in comfort
- sticking to 60mph really does make the other drivers around you do stupid things
Very jealous of your rig. That’s a cracking setup.View attachment 1581875

I have not. I thought they were meant to be pretty good? 😬Had the new engine fitted in this yet?
Thanks bud!Very jealous of your rig. That’s a cracking setup.
Exactly, it didn't need to be anything more than a newer, safer means of ferrying my family around.Looks decent that. Not the most exciting car on the planet, but looks smart and I bet it eats miles like nobody's business. Had an A6 as a rental a couple of years ago and liked it.
Still never caused you any botherSo, the new owner collected the GTD last night, and get a message this morning, the clutch has failed !
You couldn't f**king make it up ! 🤦♂️
All I’m hearing about at the minute is air suspension failure. I’ve only ever had 5 cars with air suspension. 4 of them needed fixing. 😂
Lovely colour that. Welcome to the club 😍Thought I’d pop some pics of our new purchase after its first bath.
2019 Mystic Blue Leon Cupra 290.

What’s the spec?
Love them in this colour!I purchased another 7.5 GTI back in March, this time in Tungsten Silver.
Had the car checked over by Awesome and had them do a full service including the DSG gearbox. PS5's fitted to the front also (PS4's on the back with plenty of tread still).
I was back at Awesome on Friday to have some Eibach springs fitted, along with spacers and a TCR backbox. It really had livened the car up with no compromise to the ride quality. The exhaust had added a little bit more character now too, but still sounds OEM when pootling around at low revs.
