Yep, that’s the plan. It’ll be switched to a Sach Organic Clutch + new flywheel.

I’ve not decided which company/remap to go for yet. Any suggestions are welcome :)

I’ve only had two quotes so far, first was JBS in Derby for £2100 (that was a full uprated clutch kit & software) the second was from MRC in Manchester, for the same work £1800. I’ll probably go to them in all honesty.

Ecotune are a mile from my house but they are robbing b******s.

Not great pics by any stretch of the imagination, but thought I’d get a few after giving it a quick wash.

Decided to join the Audi crew for the “bigger” family car, got a Skoda Kamiq for the normal stuff but once the pushchair is in the boot of that thing there’s f##k all space for anything else.

Did consider the equivalent BMW 3-Series estate or merc C-class but really preferred the Audi interior for some reason.

Engine wise it’s a rather dull 35 TFSI but being black edition I think it looks pretty decent also decided against the boring white/black/silver Audi colours and finally settled on a turbo blue as I couldn’t find the right car in Ascari blue so abit of a marmite colour but I’m happy with it.

only two pics I’ve got so far

Started my 2017 Audi A4 B9 yesterday and had a warning for low coolant - checked under the bonnet and the reservoir was empty! I've filled the tank to max again and doesn't seem to have gone down overnight so I suspect a slow leak / pipe that's cracked. I had the garage take a look quickly after it's MOT yesterday and they can see a damp patch on the under tray - they'll take a better look tomorrow to try and locate the leak ... hopefully something simple!

Belt & Water pump was due to be changed this year anyway so I've booked it in to be replaced in a few weeks.

Something similar happened to my 2007 A3 1.8t last year, the water pump housing had fractured requiring a new pump to be fitted. Wasn’t cheap though 🤐

Audi have quoted £880 for belt & water pump compared to Halfords at £1100!

If it's the water pump I'll get them to leave it and will try not to drive the car for the next week or so whilst I wait for the Audi appointment. If it's a hose I'll get the local place to fix it for now so I can at least use the car.

It's been an expensive couple of months having to replace pads / discs all round and having 2 new tyres on the rear a few weeks back!

I’ve spent the last 2 days machine polishing after last weekends antics.

IIRC our bill was about £600-700 from a specialist we use, then the rear main seal went at about £600 and now it’s haemorrhaging oil from the other side of the block near the time timing cover/turbo inlet pipe.

Common VAG water pump/Thermo housing leak. Happened to my Cupra and was fixed by SEAT under warranty.

Yep, that's what I've read too - unfortunately it's out of warranty!

I took it to a local garage this morning - the coolant system is holding pressure so it's a little strange. I've just dumped the car at the dealer for them to squeeze in the belt & pump change this week as I really need the car this weekend - they'll take a look at the system with the bumper off which will give us a better idea of what's going on.

Where are you located?

I'd take it to a specialist if it's out of warranty.

Similar happend to my B8.5 S4, the leak was from the water pump. Cost a fair whack due to the labour as mine is under the supercharger. Solved the issue though.

Essex.

If it wasn't due the Water Pump / Cam belt change anyway then I would have taken it somewhere else ... as the Water pump is usually the main cause of these leaks It makes sense to get them to do it and then they can look for leaks whilst the bumper is off.

Just had the diagnostics through from Audi - it's the water pump that's failed which is a relief as it was due to be replaced anyway!

Mrs has an 8P A3 (12 plate) 2.0l diesel PD130 I think, engine management light came on whilst going over a speed bump. I plugged a OBD reader in but only got throttle position sensor, cleared it but it came back on a week later doing the same thing. What do we reckon guys, lamba sensor? Can drives no different.

EGR bunged up the throttle?

In the quiet words of the virgin Mary, come again?

The hand book states there's a light for that I think, but this car does about 40 motorway miles a day so surely it shouldn't be getting clogged. Maybe need to force it to regen, its a manual, so isn't that like 4th gear, 70mph for x amount of miles?

An views on the BiTD 240 in a B8 Passat? My father's Alltrack is about to hit 150k miles (yes, barely run in) and he fancies a change. There's a nice one up for sale from a main dealer, so added bonus of 2/2/2 warranty etc.

If it's the CFCA engine they s**t EGR coolers more than BMW's do 😂

Yes believe it is and spotted that video about vans and Amaroks, but wondered if that's like saying all K series engines will s**t their head gaskets when in fact it's because the engines were used in heavy old beasts like Freelanders...

Tbh an EGR delete kit and a map is the easiest bit of life you can breathe into most modern diesels

Far too much emissions b****cks on them nowadays which always go wrong

Helix organic clutch and sachs replacement Golf R flywheel on mine. OEM+ racingline remap but next time I'll take it to MRC down south everyone bangs on about, just as the OEM+ was pricey

Audi earned some massive brownie points from me, from dropping the car off (without an appointment) to picking the car up - 24 hours! Could not fault them this time round.

We’ve just arrived to Devon complete with roof box and doxg in the boot .. car (and dog!) behaved flawlessley.

Anyone fancying a move over to the VAG life/MQB life. I'll be punting my 2017 Skoda Octavia VRs 230 (with wavetrac, helix clutch, Racingline remap 339 bhp) in 2 weeks. 17.5 bags. Basically a Golf GTi Mk7.5 with a boot, nicer interior and a better diff :)

Part of me says keep it. But when I drive my wife's dsg rep mobile I think this is the life. Pan pipe moods on the stereo and relax lolz
This is the only crux of it IMO.

If yours was DSG and we were in still the market for one (I.e we hadn’t bought the Cupra) I’d have snapped your hands off fella as we would have had a full comprehensive history report on here.

The cars a credit to you and whoever has it won’t be disappointed.
