Nah I think I'm just that weird chap who looks into things too much lol, head full of useless information. Definitely a good swap, if I was doing track days or competition id have one over my turbo converted car I think. Be much easier to use and beat on all day, maybe with a supercharger on. Turbo cars make a great daily though, plus I can willy wave with the power figures and speeds :ROFLMAO:

Now if you were to ask me about putting a zetec in a Hillman Avenger that would be me lol.
A 2.0 na Twingo would be brilliant for rallying as it would have the midrange grunt.

This thread is really making me want a twingo, didn't realise how cheap they are.

Reckon I'd look silly in one being 6ft5 though?! 🤣

Plus I would have to part with the berlingo which I cannot do

I am 6"3 and OK actually find them realy comfortable to drive and the seats are good in a 133.

After covering a massive 3819 miles since the last mot she now has another years ticket. I got a "well done" for the condition of it from Mr Mot Man and it had and it was given advisory for a chip in the screen. I need to replace the rear number plate bulb holders as one has lost a cover but nothing else to note. Really shouldn't be with the amount of bits its had thrown at it in the last few months 🤦‍♂️ I'm yet to tally up the cost of this last round of upgrades, the initial conversion didn't really cost me too much but making the car better to deal with the power a little better and just be a better all round car has probably cost more tbh. Insurance has also been sorted, everything declared came in at £316 for me as my daily, sdp+c 10k miles everything declared through Stirling Insurance.

It never changes. Even getting info on a 14 yr old Clio seems like hard work at times when you would think it should have all be covered to death by now!!

Had a great day out today in the Twingo down at the Cooksport RS Rolling Road day. Early start followed by loads of chatting and the day flew by. Hardly watched the cars getting dynoed to be honest as I was getting abused by @Sheryl_O 😁 Was great to see @Ricardos @Brigsy and Nealr19 too. Car did its thing on the dyno laying down near enough the same numbers it did at EFI back when it was mapped so seemed pretty consistent. Whilst there I took the plunge and purchased one of the very few brand new parts for the Twingo, a Cooksport fuel rail. This will allow me to run my rising rate regulator after the rail, hopefully negating the issue they have with the end cylinder running lean. To compliment this I picked up a 19T hybrid turbo also :D you know because 280bhp in a little 1000kg hatch just isn't enough 😂

The last update for 2021! I've had the car back just over a year now and its gone through a huge amount of changes even though visually you wouldn't know it. Its basically a completely different car. Quite the project when you look back at it but its been really fun to build, it has saved my sanity during Covid and given me something to focus on (y) Anyway on the last day of the year I managed to sneak in a cheeky turbo swap. I've got a lot going on next week and am in for an operation on my guts and after that mobility and having the ability to work on the car will be very limited so I decided to do this now and get it booked in with EFI when they open back up. There's a possibility even driving is possibly going to be off the cards for 6 weeks. I've decided to just "send it" for now and aim for the magical 300bhp. The turbo should actually be good for a chunk more so will be ok on the next engine if I build one. I still have the fuel rail to fit when my fuel hoses turn up but that should be an easy job to do. The swap itself was very easy, @Brigsy pointed me in the direction of doing a cold side swap which was a really good shout as not only does it make the job easier my "new" rear housing was badly cracked so a win there. No need to go through the process too in depth, undo some bits, remove the chra clamp to the rear housing and wiggle out the core and front housing, replace it all with the new bigger 19T compressor and chra, prime it all then fire it up, jobs a good un (y) I also modified the heat shield/water feed, I don't use this on my car but it form part of a nice heat shield on the right of the engine. All back in, awaiting the Cooksport fuel rail to be fitted then off to EFI hopefully at the end of Jan/start of Feb.

Thanks for reading and Happy new year to you all (y)
