My idea was to use this http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?Quicklinx=4328&CategorySelectedId=11030&InMerch=1 (well I think it was this one) which is both a USB netwrok card and router.
Basically I need to find a cheap router...

You won't have proper Zenon bulbs firstly unless ou have a zenon headlamp kit.
Front clusters don't need to be taken out to do it if you want to do it that way you hav to take the font bumper of as this hides the bottom two bolts which hold the headlamp in.

Shoes are £14 to £35 ish depends where you go car parts places can do then for £16 ish depending on what type you need (there three from memory) so take the drums off and check what type you have. £35 is Halfords prics i think list form the top price ones.
Time to change well depends how ell...
You'll have to take the drums off to find out what type you have there no other definate answer.
And if your doing that take the fronts off to check the pads used although you can tell by lookin at then with the hwell on if you've alloys etc.

Did you use your old dampers or the set which came with the rear disks?
I cannot recomend any good set of dampers you need to spend a fortune on coilovers etc real to get anyhting I'd be happy with better than stock.
The RSi form memory has a thicker ARB at the back so this might not be...
