The clio trophy is an awesome car, one of if not THE best handling car ive driven (owned one for 2 years). On a local a/b road not much could live with it
BUT
After owning...
i would go for a cooper s, to be honest i am thinking about getting one for my wife but i fancy a shot in it now and again. I have owned a trophy aswell and prefer the mini for everday driving.
as for the gay hairdresser comments, i own a vee aswell so some say they are just hairdressers cars...
mccabe - buy 1, u wont regret it!!! ;-)
simon - thats a rare appearance put in by the vee yesterday, just done 2000 miles since i bought it last august, let me know when theres a meet somewhere and you are welcome to a shot mate!! hows the trophy?? i miss mine lyk!
noticed the 182 lyk!
im surprised you didnt notice the smile on ma dads face cos he was driving the vee!!
did you see me in the van???? lol
its surprisingly good to drive!
spotted at last, and i wasnt even driving it, my old man was!! i was following him in our new renault trafic van we had just bought for the karting. u were in the 182 yeah!?
looks awesome mate!! quite sensible taking them back off in this weather, save the tread for some spirited track driving, combined with the h&r's should be wicked!
yeah still racing in formula blue at larkhall but prob gonna change to rotax this year, just need a new engine, can keep the same chassis, jason has gone quiet on the racing the now eh, i hear he has bought himself a new toy to play with!!!??? mitsu wot?

stop reducing the price!!!! lol
theres a lot of trophys on the market just now, probably more than the demand for them, it will sell, just gonna take time
i was thinking about buying that car, im sure it was end of last year, as someone said i could tell cos of the circles under the side repeaters. Was this not mikethemans vee aswell??
no ive not sold the trophy and bought another V6, just got a new kart. Birel RX32 chassis with IAME 100cc Formula Blue engine. Ran the engine in last weekend in the morning then flat out in the afternoon, 16000 RPM, mmmmmmm nice. Your thoughts welcome. Ian
hi justin,
only other mod apart from the janspeed is an ITG panel filter. I still have a wee problem with the seal, it sounds nice when up to temp but theres always a strange hiss/fart noise lol coming from near the mani aswell. i would pay some one if they diagnosed and solved the problem...
hi mate, thought it was you, i was half asleep with the cruise control on!... until you went past that is!!! LOL
i had been to Larkhall to get mine and my old mans new kart engines.
janspeed exhaust sounded sweet when you were in front of me, not that im biased and have one on my car too...
i was more expecting the 106 to be a turbo'd or supercharged animal that would mince the clio and the scooby.
Kinda like the time i got owned in the v6 by a 309 gti with an mi16 engine on throttle bodies!!
orange ones are very nice, like the liquid yellow clio's, stands out from the crowd
now why didnt renault put that rear bench in the trophy??............
good choice mate, have a full janspeed on my trophy.
fitting was spot on for me aswell, sits really nicely in the bumper, mine moves out a little when hot but only sticks out a little bit more.
not bad for a mass produced 300 quid exhaust eh!! ;)
car looks absolutely mint mate, and a good choice of suspension, had the h&r's on my 172.
The quote about an airbag shouldnt bother any1 who drives a cup as the lack of abs at this time of year is more to worry about. I wear glasses and when im driving with them on an airbag would do me more...
