A lorry ?
Bought myself a Lotus Exige Series 1 with Audi turbo engine. Proper spec GT race car (Air Jacks, Dump churn refuelling, Ohlins dampers with remote reservoir, Full Motec electronics including PDM, M400 all options enabled with Traction and adjustable maps, widened body with custom suspension setup) Will do about 650bhp if the engine is pushed apparently but doubt I’ll be running that much boost to start with! 
Needs finishing off and then will rent it out or the other option is to break the car for bits and make some nice cash!
The clio isn’t going anywhere though, collecting new gearbox for it tomorrow and should be back together and running early next week as got Brands GP trackday in a few weeks

Get some photos up of it, it sounds awesome! Renting out cars is a great earner. I know a few guys in the rally world who hire out highly spec'd mk2 escorts and some 205's. It pays for their own season of racing simply through hiring out the cars for 4-5 events per year.

Yes the figures for renting it stack up nicely but alot of it would hinge on insurance costs for the other drivers. Don’t think i’ll be racing it often myself i’m a bit lardy for Lotus'

To be fair though, one minute its "cant afford to race a clio" and then next minute its "bought an epic GT spec lotus" with no mention of a change in finances in between, so I can see why that is confusing!
If James hadnt brought up the fact he was poor, people wouldnt be surprised he can go out and buy such a cool toy. lol

HAS a huge huge thread already actually. Its a bit of a legendary build thread actually. From standard and now super rare and valuable (one of 583 made) genuine Exige S1' road car into a winning race car. Its on Exiges.com... but been linked to lots of other forums as was a really interesting and informative build.
Its one of my best friends cars. I remember him buying it new 12 years ago!!!! he said he wouldnt modify it one bit.... well that went out the window straight away! Here is a pic I took when I borrowed it when new!

Spec is MONSTROUS.
Shame when that forum swapped from "image" to "img" they didnt do a search and replace in threads so the pics would still work, makes it a crap read with no pretty pictures

Crash, burn and die most likely. I've got very little to no experience with cars of that power to weight ratio. Very limited experience of proper aero so will be a steep learning curve haha
