Looks seriously awesome Oli!

Cheers Jon, it's at J-tech at the moment getting the MOT and a few other things :)

That looks incredible, Oli. Absolutely love it, you'll have to make sure you get over to the unit when I go down again in summer.

On a side note can you not fit the standard gaiter back over the PMS shifter? Would just finish it off.

Thanks Rhys, the gaitor didn't survive it's removal. Lol. I like the 'mechanical' nature of the shifter. Will see what solution to the 'gap' I can come up with.

The car is looking spot on mate!!!
Cheers bud! You get that LY?

Great pictures Luke, they really show off how far the car has come.

To me it looks transformed - so much more aggressive and track-focussed, an absolute weapon. It's a credit to your vision, Oli, and to the team of support who've helped get it this far. Looking forward to seeing it (and you x) at the Shire Horse next week.

Cheers 'Othy. Wales will be the first 'test' of it. Can't wait.

It will indeed be at Shire Horse, albeit back on standard wheels.

Forgot a few things. Oops.

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'

They are currently propping up Lesley's tired engine in the RB182 we have.

I think between that and the RS2 it just about makes a bit more than standard power despite being a little tired, lol

Will build a proper engine at a later date using these cams I expect, possibly Clio 200 based as I prefer the water pump setup.

Passed it's MOT :)

Just went for a drive, great to have it back and it's driving great. Seems to have a lumpy idle, so I need Mike Woodford to check the RS Tuner map has overwritten the previous map for the cams!

Cheers Scott! I'm hoping to see Mike on Tuesday night to check the map. Don't want to miss Wales next weekend.

Yours won't be long :)

Wow, looks great. Tempted to make the trek to Maidenhead to have a nose on Tuesday...

Should do bud, be good to catch up.

This is a great looking car - a lot of detail and worth the effort for sure.

Thanks Pete! I'm coming along to a few of the races again this year so hopefully catch up with you and Sam then. Sorry to see yours is having prolonged problems. Hang in there :)

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'

Cub, what were those dates you were chatting about?

I dont think we are doing anything in April, we are at these ones in May:
8th Bedford (eve)
20th Oulton
28th Snet (eve)
29th Cadwell (eve)
30th Croft

Not planned June/July onwards yet so if you let me know where you are I will try and get along to some of the same events

Have also been thinking about doing some or all of these RS days:

29th May
Brands HatchBook Now
11th JulyBedford AutodromeBook Now
27st AugustOutlon ParkBook Now

Chip-mk1

Good shout. I'm booked on the RS day at Oulton. I'd like to do both the RS day at Brands and the RS day at Bedford.

I also want to do Anglesey and Snet or Cadwell at some point. Doubtful I'll get any in for May unfortunately. Let me look at the two RS ones as a start. I'll text you if I book onto them. :)

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'

Of the two I would pick Cadwell of Snet, the gradient changes make it interesting compared to the tracks Ive seen you doing so far, although oulton is similar.

Any plans to do Ring/Spa?

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'

Looking very nice Oli hope I get to see it in the metal sometime soon.

Cheers Andy, let me know which days you're doing and hopefully we'll crossover on one. How is yours fairing? If not, maybe catch up at one of the French Trophy race meets?

Cadwell over snet I meant.

I thought that was the case. Having looked, the Bedford RS one I'm not doing as it's an evening only, and I would prefer a full day.

Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'

I'll be at Bedford for the RS day. Looking at doing Caldwell a few times this year and getting back to Donington
The car is fine. I have some cooksports for it and will be getting the belts done soon and ac removed.

So, the flamer had its 'shake down' test this weekend just gone. 748 miles along some of the best roads the UK (Wales) has to offer. Was a great weekend, with great company and I am pleased to say the car performed perfectly. Made me realise how much I missed it, and why it is worth the pain of engine swaps ;)

Thread is here http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...eat-engine-and-a-Vee-do-Wales-(Very-pic-heavy) but some photos I have stolen below.

On the return leg on the M4, my bearings started to worsen. Both front ones were advisories on my MOT for play, so they will need sorting. As will the brake imbalance from a sticky rear caliper, and I am changing the DS3000s. They were great when warm, but when cold they didn't inspire confidence and at low speeds this weekend the squealing nearly made me cry like a baby.

A few jobs to do, but nothing major. :)

Thanks Matt, you've got PM :)

Ouch, the squealing brakes... Mmm, the PMS shifter... Loved it mate, and it went pretty well, too :)

I've bonded nicely with the PMS shifter, great bit of kit :) Was great to catch up Andy, let me know when the Trophy arrives and we'll get together again.
