Cup 172 vs Full Fat 172

As above is there much difference in performance figures for the cup 172 and the 172 ff ?

I thought it'd only be a half second or so as they have same top end ? :S

But having read a few posts on here they seem a lot quicker :S :dapprove:

What would a cup be like with the same mods as me ?

Which is a decat powerflow system and k & n panel filter with uprated feed to lower grill with acoustic valve removed ?

A bit quicker or around the same ?

I know there lighter and wider track etc and suspension is diff but is it honestly noticable against a ff ?

Or would it be just round the twisties ?

Often the Cups are quicker they don't have any power spapping AUX belt stuff.

There not much in it you find quite 172 and slow Cups. A CUp should on adverage win its basicaly like driving your car with one person not in the car (imagine the performance gains if you did vs didn't have a passenger).

the 172 cup would leave a normal 172 by a fair distance, granted it may crash at somepoint

here is my speed guide on all RS 2.0 clios (straightline)

mk2 172 cup
mk2 phs 1 172 (phs quick)
the rest
mk2 172 (unfortunatley its the slowest)

even a few car lengths up to 100 , though does depend on driver and individual cars , always amazes how quick certain cars are with no mods ....DONNY:rasp:

  Black Gold with cup packs
Its all acceleration wise though isn't it does not make no difference to top end unless i'm mistaken

its not just the weight difference, IMO the engines have more power (well they do have the RS manifold afterall, plus no aircon)
