Bobby. Rob I will put them on and run them to see, so time will tell. Either way ive got refund money to play with for other parts or i sell these and get some 20mm H&R's or FK's.

Maybe its mind over matter Rob  I shall try and bend by hand tomorrow but didn't want to touch them untill it was all sorted.

  A special one.
I'll be honest Scott i was gutted. Been looking forward to them for a while as well :( But yeah, at least i can try the 25mm and either keep them for free or make some money back. When Emily phoned them back up he said that for the 5mm rears i could use the standard bolts but for the 10mm ones i'd need longer bolts? Be good if i could use my standard ones as then i can space out the rears for free.

Jack the car up, take the rear wheel off and have a look, there is loads of thread sticking out.

I think he was talking about the spacers that fit behind the wheel and not the hub ones that you have.

Here's mine with the longer bolts that you get with the rear spacers, as you can see they still stick out a mile.

I also had problems with dan@mad, i also had the email from him stating that he had posted my items 1st class, then after numerous emails i had no reply, until i eventually put a complaint in to ebay after waiting almost three weeks for my items to turn up :(

I then got an email a few days later saying sorry, and that he will post them today for me.

I have recently received my rear shims and tbh the quality is very poor, they look like the holes have been knocked through with a hammer and chisel!

Glad you got things sorted in the end mate, its just annoying with the lack of response/service you get, i have had problems with everything i have bought from dan@mad apart from my alloy foot rest, that came straight luckily enough :)

  Many.
My rear bolts certainly aren't like Scott's, Mine has 10mm spacers on the standard bolts, but they don't stick through far enough at all imo, I need to source new ones.

Check what kind of bolts yours has Mark.

Does suck though, through the whole not being delivered and then this. At least you know what the 25mm fronts will look like. Its a bit s**t that Dan didn't offer a new battery cover and footrest free, considering he could claim it back from the courier.

Just read it start to finish, great work dude always looked a tidy example & you've made some nice changes. It looked very similar to my old iceberg ph1, until you put the ph1 side strips back on & they look great I'm doing this to the sunflower.

Thanks Craig. Ph2 side strips do make it look fresher but i wanted to put a bit more originality back on. I may go back to ph2 strips at a later date but i like the look of how its meant to be atm ;) Sorry @Rob lol

@Harpham Tbh Paul, Alex has pretty much explained it. I got a buyer hopefully collecting it tonight and if all goes well then i can put the money towards something else that i feel may benefit me more. Not sure what yet.

Rear hub spacers fitting kit by Dr-Jekyll, on Flickr

The Whiteline RARB was picked up and sold last night so i put the money to some solid mounts. I phoned up Demon Tweeks as they was the same price of the ones on Ktec just without the badge and black paint. I cant remember who i spoke to but i mentioned i'm a member on here and he gave me free next day delivery :)

So the Vibra-Technics engine and gearbox mounts will be fitted this weekend along with the spacers.

By all means Graham. You'll hear it through the revs whist its in the rollers and your more than welcome to have a drive of it to see what its like inside the car. Its the full system with center silencer and twin barrel car still in.

Yeah that'd be good buddy :)
Bit of a pain in the ass wih the spacers etc but at least its pretty sorted now :)

Yeah I know. I may even keep the 25mm's after seeing plenty of pics on here today. Hopefully all goes well :)

Nice one, you got a link for the mounts Mark?

This is what I typed in for mine Arran, but I'm sure there no difference in the 172's/182's.

I phoned them up mate as I thought it'd be easier asking about discount. Might be worth doing that.

Solid mounts were on my to do list for the car never got round to it. Be interesting to see what u think of them.

Mark what you up to Monday? Are you working?

Yes mate, work mon-fri. Why's that?

Perfect cheers mate! It's sad but I'm more after the engine one for looks FML lol.

That's why I went with demon tweeks rather than ktec as I'm led to believe demon tweeks sell vibra technics ones which are silver. After phoning up vibra technics themselves up yesterday the chap told me they was the same as ktec with a different badge and paint. (although he said he couldn't go it to technical details, they are the same)

Unfortunately they never had any in stock so that's why I went with demon tweeks as I wanted silver ones

Tbh Jamie, it's more to see if it cures this knocking/vibration/squeak when I'm on and off the throttle. I've read a fair few threads on here and people recommend them. Downside is there is more vibration as you would expect over standard, but that dies down after settling in. I also read that the poly dogbone alone was too much for some people, but I can honestly say I feel no difference in vibration at all so we shall see. I can't see it being that bad tbh.

The ones from ktec are powder coated in black.

DT ones will just be bare alloy which will go dole in time as there is no protection.

They seem to be a pretty tough casting so it'll take a long time to go really dull or corrode. A bit of metal polish with bring them back up easily

Get the mounts fitted? And that squeezing noise?

Yes and its removed it :) Seems to take away a fair bit of slack in the engine too. Through the revs and downs shifting seems to be a bit more connected and stable, if that makes sense? Vibration is there a tad more but nowhere near as harsh as what some people say. Im a fussy bugger and its not enough to annoy me so its all good :)

Awesome!

Glad you're happy with it, I didn't notice any vibes when I sat in it, but then I wasn't paying attention! Felt better up the road!

Running out of things to do to it!
