You've got to be trying very hard to get the ABS to kick in, or lock your wheels for that matter......on the road.

Apart from on snow/ice, I've only ever had the ABS kick in a couple of times on track since fitting PF97 pads.

I thought you had to notify your insurers of an incident regardless of whether you are going to claim or not? Come renewal time you have to fess up about this anyway otherwise your renewal will be null and void.

A lot of it is down to they tyres as well. If they are slicks they yes they probably will lock up if you slam on, but ive always had decent tyres and tread and ABS has never kicked in, bar on the snow and ice.

have you actually slammed the brake to the floor in panic? i can assure you it comes on lol. (wasnt done in panic was done because my girlfriend was pecking my head so i slammed the brakes on and told her to get out the car, i did check for traffic first though and also it was on a quiet road)

I am being honest lol, it was literally 50 yards, I broke as soon as i saw him brake! I was more than enough distance away from him!

So you were 50 yards away, the highway code's stopping distance from 30mph is 25 yards... Assuming your car is road worthy then 20m odd is missing here due to something not mentioned yada yada
