Why was all that sludge under the oil cap? is that normal?

Thanks. it's just caused by condensation in the rocker cover. Very common on this model in particular but many other cars too. Lots of people think it is a blown head gasket. My oil catch can reduces it a lot.

Any updates on this ? It’s amazing and now I’m going to get a tce mk3 phase 1 because my mk3 phase1 1.2 extreme just died due to timing fault
