vw polo mk4 1.6
been on here a while, dont own a clio use to have a polo 6n (mk4) soon to have a g40 engine dropped in currently driving a toyota mr2, sorry if this is wrong section:-
it started off as a yfz 450, it had 2 engine rebuilds and the second time lasted 1000 miles, my mate was payin close to a grand to have it re-built each time so we thought f**k it!! lets put a r6 in there!!
the frame:
we picked the full bike up for £755 everything attached the front was smashed but engine was sound:
started to strip it:
wiring loom:
engine out:
cutting the expensive frame:
the hole:
she fits!!:
new bits of the frame welded, the welding was shoddy, we got another guy (phill) to weld it again later on:
brand new manifold off ebay.........20 squid winner!!:
tetsting:
testing the airfilter clearence, we scrapped tghese off as they were too big:
swing arm on:
this is the colour we was goin to do it, monster energy theme, but we spotted one and it looked gash, so its not bright green no more:

the nerve bars gettin mocked up:

more plastics goin on:
plate to hold the gear linkage on:

plate to hold foot brake on:
plate to hold brake fluid bottle
the radiator tight sqeeze we used the 450 one but this is insufficent at coolin the r6 so we need the r6 rad and more chopping is in order:

all in all this has been done over 3 months we are just waiting on the r6 rad to come and fit that, the frame is goin for powder coatin next week and then we will be building it back up , fingers crossed ill add more pics ionce we get the rad,
