Got the Yeti back today. New clutch and Slave Cylinder along with 2 flushes of brake fluid. The DMF looked ok too so I took the gamble and kept it on, it's on 88k.
Car feels great to drive and the clutch feels so much better than before, I suspect the slave was on its way out for a while.
I've had to order a new drivers wing mirror glass as the old one has dropped off, looks like the previous owner had glued on a mirror plate and it's failed over time
Love a yeti. Fancy one someday, yeti or jimny
Ref my last post.
I think it's either the EGR/EGR cooler/any of the associated gubbins.
Now, I need to take the whole top of the engine apart to even find out what actually is the issue. Alternatively, I could also just buy an EGR delete kit from Darkside.
Am I being an idiot?
YesAren't Darkside parts just chineseium stuff with their logo on?

Probably. Much like most aftermarket’s tbh![]()
The work in this build the cars the come out of this place are unreal!
For sale too 😍😍
Had another sensor fail on my A4 yesterday - this time it was the brake vacuum sensor.
The Car advised me to continue driving, so I did. When I got some, I ddi some research and came across a number of horror stories from people who helped driving and ended up with a bricked ABS module and a 3K bill to repair! Seems like this is a pretty common issue on the B9.
After reading that Audi quotes £300+ to replace the sensor, including the diagnostics, I ordered a £15 part from Amazon which just arrived. Took 2 minutes to install and everything is working perfectly again.
£285 saved ... straight into the beer fund!
See how long it lasts.
Don't think i'd trust a £15 sensor from Amazon.
The genuine Audi map sensors are about £100 aren't they?

Defo. Our family Nissan Juke (yeah, I know) has had an ebay bad boy MAP sensor on it and it's lasted 5 mins. Defo worth paying the extra for genuine.
Will see how this one goes, i'm sure this sensor is exactly the same as the one Audi would sell me ... same manufacture etc just without the Audi tax included!
