I just took one of those Exide ones off mine (not that there was any problem with it) and put a Varta Silver Dynamic (C6, 52Ah) on it - I believe they're the same as the Bosch S5.

My local formula one autocentre has a Hunters system and they did mine the other day after I'd fitted coilovers, ball joints, tie rod ends etc.
They corrected the Toe but left the Camber on -1º 14' and -1º 35'. :/ I believe standard for a 172 Mk2 is around -0º 15' to -0º 20' or something?
It...
For the benefit of people arriving at this thread via a search (as I just did), the correct part number for these bits is actually 8200143718 and I just got a couple @ £1.73 each :)
Is the stitching on the thumb grips an optional thing or is that the only way they can be done?
Amazing job though, now it's the centre/airbag bit that's letting the side down!
Powerflex have revised their wishbone kit since most of the threads saying 'bad things' about them were created. They now have thicker outer sleeves, harder bushes, and washers to sit between the bushes and the chassis.
I'm hoping those tweaks will make them an actual upgrade to (or at least...
I installed the rear set of spring/dampers from my Bilstein B14 kit today and now I'm wondering if I made a mistake.
The dampers themselves seem to come assembled, with the blue plastic bit covering up a curved (as in 'not flat') washer and the bump stop.... but then there's a loose washer in...
I've got the newest version of the wishbone pack, it's a bit different now I think as you put washers on the ends. I don't do welding so fingers crossed they'll be ok.
I haven't even looked at the inner bushes (and can't find any pics of them from under the car) but can I assume the 'bottle jack' method in guide linked below only works for the outer ones?

Cheers y0z, mine arrived safe and sound about 10 mins ago via std. 1st class post - i.e. no signature required. I guess my postmen are honest ;)
Rather than using recorded delivery, would it not be simpler (and perhaps just as effective) to just write 'automotive washers' on the package or...
y0z / Fred,
If you've got any left, I think I'll get some just for a laugh :)
Don't suppose you do TDC sensors too do you? It would save me a trip to renault ;)
Sony haven't made their own drives for some time now.
They're either rebadged LiteOn's or rebadged BenQ's.
You're better off buying the real thing if you want either of those!
You can't go far wrong with the NEC's 4550/4551 (4551 supports Labelflash) or the Pioneer 110/110D (D is...
Bit more info about af....
Unless the pic in the view finder actually looks ok and infocus, when I half press the 'take picture' button, the green 'focus' light just flashes and flashes.
It's like it doesn't even try to autofocus.
I can switch to mf, twiddle the focus ring a bit and it...
Yes it's the std 18-55 Canon lense.
Done the battery thing (several times!).
The mf/af switch moves....and yes when in af, the ring doesn't turn (not freely anyway). When in mf, it moves ok. That's the only difference I see between having it on af or mf.
I was just expecting af to kinda...
I got myself one of these (350D) the other day (well, it's kinda for work really).
Had nothing but trouble with it at first. Almost every shot I tried to take left me with 'Error 99' in the LCD display.
Seems it's some problem with the lens, possibly the contacts.
Out of interest, when...
The 'best' combo is probably EAC (Exact Audio Copy), followed by something like LAME for the actual WAV -> MP3 conversion.
Both are free.
EAC queries an internet database to get album/track names for the inserted cd and that info can be put into ID3 tags automatically.
Your cpu probably has a temp sensor built in.
If you're worried, just find a little tool that can read it. Something like the one from www.hmonitor.com should do the trick.
Of course you could just drop back to the bios quickly and view it in there.
As McBunny said, using the cpu isn't...
The first pic actually says your drive is reporting the following error:
'Logical Unit Not Ready, Cause Not Reportable'
That's what it means by 'Sense 02 04 00'
Your drive is unable to initialise the discs you're using. Get some other decent ones that it DOES support.
It could be that the drive cannot initialise the media you've put in it.
As such, it'll never enter the 'ready' state. Try some totally different discs.
Other than that, close down all programs that could be using the drive. i.e. packet writing software, any media players etc.
Also, you...
By law the manufactures have to make their drives RPC2 compliant.
That's why sites like www.rpc1.org exist.
Almost every drive anyone should ever consider buying has RPC1 firmware available for it. It normally takes the people a day or so to release a patched RPC1 version of the latest...
