^ seriously it was a turbo with two up dont want to start an argument. ive already mentioned it pulled 4 lenghs upto 80mph from 35`ish mph thats quite a gap considering the performance of the meg but at 110 i was realing it in and at 120 i was ready to pass (but wouldnt in interest of safety) on the roundabouts it pulled another 3 lenghs also but the 3rd shove of the meg is very impressive, it was quicker but didnt leave me standing by any means at all.
finally who knows if my meg has more power ? guy on megsport had his stock 225 RR`d at 240bhp yesterday and just as much torque. once you into the 80+ mph zone aerodynamics and sheer grunt come into play, sure if it 0-100 i wouldnt have stood much of a chance but rolling only between 30-80 did its lightness have any effect.
so to recap it was faster lower down rolling but not enough to lose me and up top it wasnt faster.
((btw dunno about the vx but the elise after 100 is like a brick according to many USA owners on the wwide lotusforums))
also the 172cup could keep with a vx220 (150hp)
