Great looking work
I've already got a lightweight battery under the seat. It weighs 6kg +2kg more cable weight. This one is 10kg. So it's still 3kg lighter than standard but only 2kg heavier than the lightweight battery. I gain an extra 22amp/hours and 130 cold crank amps. Which I will need with the astra PAS setup which needs an 80amp feed.My PMS bracket broke like that too. PMS replaced it for me as it was less than a year old from memory.
Any reason why you haven't gone for a light weight battery under the passenger seat or in the boot?
Get yourself a new filter man!!

Good read as always this!
I've just removed the pas on my flamer, yet to drive it to see how hard it is though!
Good read indeed.
Good to see progress. I'll need to PM you for some photos / advice on where you 'shaved' the Brembos please bud
Are you at Oulton on the 29th November, Tom?
Yes James, nothing to stop me being there I hope. Just a matter of swapping the rack over and redoing the toe.
Great read Tom as always!
Do you have a part number for that alternator pulley? and also where is the returned rack from, I think mines developing some play.
KT
Anyone who says you need PAS is clearly weak and feeble! The epas rack is easier to turn than a disconnected PAS rack, I assume that's as there is no fluid resistance.
It's just the rack I've got fitted Oli, I assume you mean that. How easy is fitting the epas Tom?
Get me a 1ltr bottle of jägermeister and I'll fit your Epas if you want mate. :tonguewink:How easy is fitting the epas Tom?

Where do I source a rack?
No sorry I don't.Don't suppose you have the Renault number the rack by any chance?
What else is needed for fitting an epas rack/non pas rack? I'd much rather have manual steering than hydraulic or electric.
Have you bought something with wallet friendly tyre sizes?! LolRacing plans will get a slight delay, I've gone and bought a new daily which I will hopefully collect at the end of the week.
