Well im getting a 182 style exhasut fitted to my car next Wednesday courtesy of prospeed and imnot sure what tailpipe to go for really.

Im thinking 3.5" but im not sure whether to have slash cut or slash cut inward rolled.... So show us your exhausts, preferably like the ones i mentioned.

Cheers

kl kl, quite like the look of the blueflame tailpipes.
Is 3.5" (90mm) the biggest you can fit in the gap?
Do you reckon you could fit 4"?

I took one with my digi cam, but didn't realise there wasn't a speaker on it lol. And tried making one on my phone but the sound quality is appalling, far too crackly :(

it sounds amazing through tunnels etc. love to wind the windows down and boot it :D

Thats mine on my 182 Rep... Though it needs a little adjusting! I think a new exhaust mount it required, as its currently secured with cable ties at the moment..lol.. You are making a replica arent you? What is the design for the rep exhaust? Hope you dont mond me asking but how much is it costing you to have made?

This was mine before being fitted: Thanks to "Cro-Clio" who made it!

why thank-you. and the tailpipe is quite big too, lol.

Powerflow, 4 or 5" not sure which, got it with the car. looks the nuts with a lick of flames coming out. gonna have some vid soon.

Is it a Full powerflow system on it mate ?? if so what do you think of it ?
yep and loud. i'm quite sure they can be built quieter, but mine's quite loud. It's probably been on the car 3+ years now and it's still really good. heard some horror stories about them, but mine's been really good.

Its being made by Prospeed, around £400 he said on the phone.

I believe he is doing it the same way that its done on the k-tec replica one.

Ok, ive decided i want to go for the blueflame style exhaust... slash cut 3.5"!

Outward rolled. much better in my opinion.

Drainpipe!!!

By god don't get a 182 style zorst!!

it's not a drainpipe, it's not black plastic and it's too big to be one! lol

i didn't choose it, but it does the job.

i personally don't like anything more than a single pipe that includes the 182 and V6, no offence to anyone, just my opinion. but saying that ,182 style exhausts on 182's tbh.

it did have a cat, i'd say normal aftermarket exhaust noise. now decat, non silenced, sounds good but drones a bit on the motorway (unless your doing a bit more than legal, then it's ok?)
Got middle box and back box, both straight through. i believe 2.5 " bore, but i will check later

There isnt really any other way to get around the spare wheel well.. remember its on a 1.2 16V - - - - AKA 182 replica.. How would you design it then without removing the spare wheel?

The routing is probably the only way to go, however the welding is not wonderful and i'd probably have used a twin exit back box with a pipe to each tailpipe using bends rather than 90 degree angles on the tailpipes if you can see what i mean. get better flow and look beter when someone has a gander at it.

i wasn't having a go about the design, we all have different takes on things.

EDIT: i 've just had a look at k-tec's, and your's is very similar.

Yeah, I admit welding isnt great... but it was homemade from K-tec parts and serves the purpose its made for and gives off a nice sound.. N!CK R has said that his will cost around the £400 mark.. Mine cost just under two fifths of that so cant complain! All that can be seen is the tailpipes and im happy enough with the visual effect for the meantime!

lol.. exactly my thought, if it works then thats the main thing.. Might change it at somestage, but dont know if I could justify spending 400 on a replica 182 prospeed exhaust.
