  Twingo 133 Cup,
Yeah might have taken a slight chunk outta our house deposit ? Can't rally a house tho ?‍♂️ Hahaha can't wait to get it
Ha ha love the attitude mate! Think I am just jealous of every one who spends money and time on there car lol. Only spent 3 days on mine this year so far and we are over half way now :(

That's quite a purchase! Judging by the lever, is it one from a Megane Cup race car?

Should make quite a difference. I want one :(

That box is my dream ??

Do you know much about the history of it?
Hahaha mine too for a long time, the seller says it's 'new' with 83km of stage use. Coming from Germany and has been used in a Clio. I'm not quite sure if that's true with it being the STDSA box which is very old, so I think it's best we have it refreshed before using it.

Good idea although it looks like it’s been opened up recently with the bolt paint pen marks in.

I’d love one just need a finished car and what 8k ish ??

Small update... I'll try remember everything as its been so long 😭😂 Been caught up in job hunting, rallying and holidays, so not had time that do much to the car - but have managed to land one as a Design Engineer at ITG Filters which I'm really chuffed about as my first 'proper' job!!

Sadev turned out to be a scam 🙃 Got all money back through PayPal luckily. Still no LSD for now then...

ITB's are bolted on ready, new dephaser cambelt and waterpump are also ready to be fitted - and have the Group N & Genuine timing tools ready to do it all. Good job I work at ITG now as by the looks of this filter it's had it's day 😂 Will be getting upgraded to a carbon airbox soon and new filter.

Also a little loom progress.. all the OEM loom is out and whatever wires we put in before too. We've mounted our new switch panel and also I finished making the new 'clocks' panel which will sit where it's positioned below on our MK1 Clio dash. Looks really smart and I'll be very happy with it once I get my ass in gear and start the loom!!

All the plugs are here waiting for me to get going, just need to find the time to mount the dash clocks and the new fuse/relay panel; then measure and document how much wire I need and order it.

NMNLAa5.jpg

Will be doing 2 looms, one EFI and one for all ancillaries. Once I've made the EFI one and the car runs again I'll order a Volantech steering wheel panel and begin the other loom which should be relatively easy.

EFI harness progress.. mocked up the majority of the loom today in rope to route where the loom is going to go. Now that it's made in rope I can measure out of the car how long each length of wire will be to document it and order the required wire to get started!

Finished the fuse/relay/ECU mounting panel for the two looms yesterday. The left block is for the EFI harness, the centre block (donated from a cup racer) is for the body harness and the bracket on the right will house the Omex 600 ECU.

Unfortunately I think the Clio is gonna be on a backburner for a while now due to us moving into a new house, meaning we'll be spending money elsewhere for a while :(

Settled into our house now and loving my new job, so have been working on some bits for the Clio again at the weekends.

The EFI loom is very nearly done, hoping to complete this by the end of the week delivery dependant. It's turned out real nice - lets hope it works! Spoke to Omex today to sort out buying an ECU. Completed pics to follow but a few below to show how it progressed being built on our living room floor 😂

Got plenty of other bits to do before it's ready to go again. Going to pop over and do the cambelt this weekend with the Group N tools and genuine dephaser.

Even though there's more important things to buy at the moment, I saw this and couldn't resist as you don't see them very often and might come in handy if I can work out whats needed to fit with some playing around. Tempted to sell it on tbh and save the hassle but we'll see. Depends what someone's willing to pay for it haha..

Can't wait to get it back out again next year!

As far as I'm aware yes that's how it was sold to me :) Guy I bought it off runs a Formula Renault team as it seems and was very helpful.

Interesting. If you wanna shift it PM me more details etc I might be interested. Spoken to Titan about there’s.

Take a picture of everything you’ve got mate and I’ll confirm.

The oil pick up pipe isn’t supplied as part of their kit, and it’s not a simple item to make! No longer available either, so a royal pita to sort. I was lucky enough to get one.

I know theres a few bits missing but not 100% sure on what's actually needed to fit one of these to a Clio - my plan was to slowly find out and make/buy the bits haha. Would be a massive help if you wouldn't mind sharing your knowledge mate!!

I've got the sump pan, oil pump, driveshaft with bushes and the pulley that goes onto the belt.

Oil pick up pipe is missing and there’s a anodised connecting piece that joins the oil pump to the sump pan and oil pick up pipe.
Oil filter housing is missing too. That’s where the pipe from the pump goes into.

Awesome that helps a lot thankyou very much :) Don't suppose you could take some pictures next time your near the engine of the pick up pipe so I can try and design a new one up. No worries if not. Hopefully R-Sport or the guy I bought it off may have some of those bits at least haha.

Yeah I’ll sort it mate. Oil pick up pipe was the last one rsport had, and I’ve got it. Lol

And bought this from R-Sport today to complete the puzzle! Will remake the baffle plates as they're a bit battered.

I think theres only one more thing, the crank pulley attachment - but unsure if that's actually needed or can just use a longer aux belt 🤷‍♂️

Nice work mate! The crank pulley attachment is a smaller pulley as well from memory, so you’ll need that to spin the oil pump at the correct speed.

Cheers for the help mate. That makes sense! Is the toothed 'trigger wheel' like thing attached to that pulley needed or not? Can't think what it would be needed for
Nah you don’t need that tbh. It’s only there for the crank sensor on a formula engine as they don’t run the flywheel on those engines.

Excellent I'll see if I can find out the dimensions of the pulley and get one made. Was a lot easier than I thought it would be to sort all the bits for this dunno why I didn't do it sooner😂

Sorted all the parts for the dry sump, decided I'm just going to fit it while the car is still half apart - may aswell. Then worry about the oil tank and lines after.

Got a couple of days off work on holiday so I'm making a CAD model of each individual part of whats needed for the conversion to make a personal record and in case anything ever breaks I can simply get a new identical part made.

So far I've modelled:
  • FR Crank Pulley (Without Trigger Wheel).
  • FR Pickup Pipe Connecting Piece
  • FR FR Pickup Pipe and Gauze Insert (This piece would be made in 2 sections and welded, as in the originals)

Will be buying an ECU over Christmas/New Year and seeing if the new loom actually works. It's pretty much finished now and is installed into the car fully.
Have some new battery cable ready to install also and need to buy the up-rated Renault Crank Sensor. After fitting that the car 'should' run.

Also did the Cambelt/Water Pump and Dephaser with Group N timing last weekend, but forgot to take pictures of everything including fitment of the loom 🤦‍♂️
Not 100% sure what all the scaremongering regarding doing the belts on these is, it wasn't that hard at all using the genuine tools and guide!

Hey Haz, looking good! Have you bought an ECU yet? I've got the OMEX 600 in a box and contacting some people about getting it fitted but seems more hassle than it's worth with everything I wanna run. I'm looking for an ME221 but don't wanna buy new particularly

Hey, thankyou. Yeah I have it's in the car hopefully can get it all set up this weekend if I have chance. Should be fine Omex sell an adapter loom plug and play to retain the OE dash etc, give them a call they're extremely helpful.
