ive had the same package from BB and the rolling road measured 158bhp corrected, and torque i think is around 135lb at 6800, would say for defo but cant find my rolling road graph, think it was a 20 bhp increase and a 12lb increase at the wheels
yeah, think so then, the cams ive got give about 12bhp apparently out the box ? so maybe right yeah, and yeah, flywheel figures are a bit turd, but it seems that thats the only figure anyone knows
ive got the same thing, with modded head (presume u have that aswell ?) and it measured 158bhp and 127lb of torque at the same revs, so maybe u can still squeeze out some more ? i cant remember what cams i have but they arent wild or anything, next step up from standard i would say
heh, well ill increase the back a bit, and learn to drive then :)
i dont want oversteer really, but would prefer it, just seems when i had my other valver it didnt understeer much, oversteer if anything on standard wheels, mine now has 17s and understeer is what i get, but yeah u do have to go...
hi ppl,
ive got bb/bax coilvers on my 16v, to start with my front was way lower that the back, but excessive scrubbing out of T-junctions made me raise it, now they are both about the same. i get understeer out of sharp corners or roundabouts when applying the power, or running into it at...
well, ive gone to renault and the bolt that has snapped is £15, so hopefully a mate is drilling out the bit that it stuck in the bracket, and barring nothing else is buggered from the drop, might be ok
fingers crossed, will be getting the part tomorrow and trying it then
well, update is that the bolt that goes thru the rubber mount to the engine bracket has snapped, so the engine has slumped down to the chassis, ive jacked it back up to the orig posistion and off to renault tomorrow to get the part to replace. it was drove to the house where its at, so i bloody...
hmm, well managed to get round and have a look at this, seems to be ok there, i need to get the battery out completly and have a good look, but havent had the chance yet, will have to be tomorrow. and other advice u could give me on what to check for ?
cheers m8
to be honest im not sure. was a loud clunk, now the whole chassis vibrates when the engines on. the engine itself slightly slopes from the right to the left. there isnt a problem getting it in gear, which a mate had when his mounts went on his 19. dunno if that help, im not sure on the mounting...
with the uploader if u have any files that are named with either ( or ) then it doesnt work. looks fine when uplaoded but wont work on the forum, jsut an observation, might not help
oh well then, seems that ill have to put up with it, not really an issue, only when trying to go round roundabouts tightish it seems to be apparent, not really on the normal road
ok then ppl, how many of u have this fitted. Im trying to get the best setup (who isnt) and atm its not too bad, but put the power down hard thru corners and the car slides out, and somtimes in tight corners at speed understeer.
think atm ive got about 15 clicks on the back, not too sure on...
ive got hi-spec 310mm 4 pots and as it has bin said they give u soo much confidence, its effortless, just get a bit paranoid that someone might end up in ure boot from time to time :) they defo have saved the front end of my car a couple times when ppl have pulled out blind ...
heh, thought that might have bin norris designs 700 bhp evo, but that one looks more damaged, norris stacked it on that corner too, not too bad, but all the left panels were out of shape, didnt see it first hand, but saw the car afterwards, was on that corner for quite a bit of the day :)
heh, i dont know what its like without, but i have it with and its well good, not stupidly light but apparently without it really springs back at u, pain for town, anyone confirm ?
ive got the bb/gaz coilovers and the handling is amazing. i do find thou that booting it hard round a corner the car will slide out a bit, anyone played around with the rebound settings and found a good compromise ?
the missus had a j reg 1.8 16v zetec, wasnt that quick, was the reverse of the valver really, good low down power from the start, but about 4000 and above u were just waiting to change gear, no urgency when the power was on
ive got 17" and gaz coilovers, i found it a right pain in the arse to stop it rubbing tbh, the drop overall is prolly about 20-25mm but it was dropped lower but i couldnt go round a corner without it rubbing the top of the arch, so i basically had to raise it right up to stop it, still looks ok...
heh, i raced a volvo c70 off the lights last nite, wasnt sure if he would bite, but we both went for it, got about a 1/2 cars length but the time i got out of 2nd, but then i was in a losing battle, had to slow down at about 75 cos catching up with traffic, but he would have cruised past, didnt...
i get around 200 driving round town, all urban driving, ive had 230 out of just over 1/2 tank when travelling back from bb tuning though, huge diff there between motorway and urban
my car was in BBTuning for a week or so, collected it on tuesday, got the following from flowed head, cams, chip, pbv, filter, de-cat full exhaust running 17"
