Well the drive shaft and track rod issues are sorted with help from @NorthloopCup @Chip-mk1 and @Carbonraider .
For the track rods I had some longer adapters made.
And I've fitted a set of new genuine ph2 172 shafts which are 20mm longer each side than the ph1 shafts. For the o/s I went for the two piece shaft and sourced a used bearing carrier.
Still waiting on the ASTs though...
Looks good that. Need to do mine.
Would you do me a favour please? And measure the length of the track rod if you could. The entire thing, and just thread down please. My lemforder items still seem a little short.
Cheers
I think Morgan dud this photo. Non cup up top and cup below.
I'll have to bring the shotgun out of retirement if I've been told porkies!!!

Great news on the ASTs mate, looking forward to seeing your reviews.
Im glad to see that they included another set of tops to suit your Ast top mounts mate! Clearly they listened to me when I called to make the demand! LolHere we go at long last! Going to make a start fitting them

No worries at all mate. We got there in the end! Thanks for that Mark. I'll get them swapped over then.

 Really pleased your finally back out enjoying the car again Tom. Worth the wait?
Eibach don't do a spring longer than 5" in the 1.9" diameter so Ast had to use that spacer setup. I've got something very similar on the rear of mine. I just got some nylon spacers custom made. @Martin.
I've got some pictures mate, but I'm fucked if I can work out how to upload them off my phone via photofuckit! I need a tutorial! Lol! Yeah plastic/nylon is fine and extremely strong. It's beautiful to work with on the lathe as well! I've got nylon rear top suspension bushes and I'll be having some nylon bushes made for the dogbone as well.Cheers chaps. Mine are 450lbs all round from memory. Or maybe slightly more on the front. Can't remember what josh decided on for me when I ordered them. Need to get them fitted urgently just waiting on some bits back from my mate.
I did did wonder what this bit on mine was! Got any pictures of yours mark? @NorthloopCup bet it looks better than the plastic on mine.
Is plastic actually strong enough?? Guess it must be!
Ah they must be for the American market then Tom. The guys in the uk definitely don't do them as I rang to find out. Faulkeners do them now in a 10" length, but they only go up to 400lbs.Yes they were
They do 10" http://www.hmsraceparts.com/Eibach-1-9-ID-10-Length-Springs/
I could go stiffer all round but it's so composed and comfy on the road whilst having minimal roll I don't know if I'd want to. @Joe is running the same rates as me IIRC
You'd be surprised how strong some plastics are! @Martin. Have a look at your springs. They should be something like 180-80 on the front which would be 7" free length (180mm) and 456lb (80nm) and the rear maybe 130-90 so 5" and 514lb if they are the 'track' setup.

Flol I've just clicked on the link and seen they're a uk company!!! I thought it was the one that's in America! Fail! Interested to know why the guys at head office said that 5" was the longest they did. Unless they're motorbike front shock springs. Hmm.Might be able to get some cheap from the states? Handy to know Faulkner do them if I ever want it hard in the rear...ooherr
Is that blue sky and sunshine in welsh wales?!?! You told me it only rains or blows a gale!! Lol! Cars looking good tom.
Looking good tom il make sure I get some good pictures if there is no one taking any you fancy renting the arch roller out I was bidding on 1 last week but didn't win
What spacers are you running to.
It was blowing a gale!
So up front over a standard phase 1 I've got a cup subframe (+10mm each side), roll centre kit (+5mm each side), ET35 wheels (+8mm each side) and 10mm spacers. So a 66mm wider front track.
On the back I've got the ET35 wheels and 7.5mm hub spacers. But after rolling the arches I'm hoping to go 15 or 20mm spacers. So potentially 56mm wider on the back; depends how much I can pull the arches out. I'll be getting the arches repainted afterwards so not bothered it the paint cracks so hopefully I can get them out quite far.
Looks awesome, mate
