IMHO - Apple knew about the situation - hence the Bumper cases. It just makes so much sense to introduce these cases that cover the area. I think they underestimated their market and demographic, they sell to geeks, of course they were going to notice! Give Bumper for free - sorted...

I dont know what to make of it all really. I mean, Apple obviously had knowledge of this issue, selling the bumper as THE case at launch. Therefore is it really a flaw, or just a consequence of the design? And accepted by Apple? Obviously there have to be compromises in any design of any...

Righto, I've found a solution of sorts. Stop the phone from syncing apps in iTunes. Sync the phone but cancel the backup. This should remove all apps from the phone. This is what you want. Then right click the phone and Reset Warnings and then Disagree sbout sending crash reports to Apple -...

3.5 hours now. Its still doing stuff as I'm watching the files dropping into the back up folder 1kb at a time.
