Car looked great at the show matey. Good updates and I bet you can't wait to get it back from the paint shop.

Car looks good, even with the plaster! I'd seen this thread before but it didn't register on Sunday, I was up a lot earlier than usual though [emoji23].

Getting excited and it hasn't even gone yet haha. Is all stripped now ready to go and new splitter has arrived.

Haha, I recognise cars easily but terrible with faces and names lmao. Hopefully see you again at a meet soon

Liking that splitter mate but I would be so worried about snapping it.

Awesome work buddy :) that looks a great job :)

Is it a new arch panel or pulled out and filled the old one?

He managed to straighten it out so isn't filled with bodge just a light skim for any divets.

He is doing the front bumper now as well as prepping side plastics

Yeah completely unplanned purchase haha.

Came up local and couldn't resist. Shouldn't be hard to fit - worst bit will be removing 182 manifold

Subframe off jobby to remove the mani isn't it?

Would love to do this to my Inferno.

The body repair looks spot on Rob. As for the turbo, well maybe you should have just bought your old inferno back and saved some time[emoji23][emoji23][emoji106].

My old Inferno is now excellent spec but no I have always wanted to do one myself so this is the perfect opportunity.

The lad doing the paintwork is top notch

Awesome update Rob

Is it a straight bolt on fit and then re-map?

More or less - I have to drill the block with the sump off for oil return. Then that's about it for intrusive work.

Amazing.. you're giving me ideas now...

If I see another kit for a good price will message you

Not to bad then :)

What's the story with the old Inferno you had - sounds interesting - is it still on here?

Isn't on here now but I had it as an excellent fast road car in mint condition - sold it on and it's now a 340bhp turbo weapon with van conversion haha. Was up for sale a short while ago.

Been away for a few days and came back to some lovely deliveries ready for the upcoming upgrades.....

- Turbo link pipe
- Dci steering column
- Pure Motorsport power steering delete kit
- Pure Motorsport steering rack bungs
- Megane spark plugs
- Cup alternator kit
- Epas controller kit
- Pipercross air filter

When car is back from bodyshop will be enjoying it for a few weeks then the work starts!

Going to see the car tomorrow and should be home in the next week or 2.

Had Mitch at Proline Motorsport make up a loop pipe for the steering conversion. Much tidier solution!

I had a nice little delivery from Engine Dynamics so have the missing oil return to sump, replacement hose to throttle body so can run without the DV.

The Pipercross filter I bought was a little small so got the correct ED K&N Filter as well.

Picked up the last wiring required from the scrapyard for the steering and lower section of column with UJ's as well as a 172 Cup non aircon bulkhead trim which I have painted up along with intercooler.

Also taking a different route for the aux belt setup so sold the Pure Motorsport steering delete kit and going with a PK5 848 belt so just run off the crank to the water pump and alternator.

Since coming home the interior has been refitted and then attacked the paint chips on the drivers side and rear before waxing all the original paint.

Waiting another few days before waxing the new paint.

Wow!!! Proper job  looks a quality job and that front bumper work shows how good the sprayer/bodyshop is

Looks a great job on the repair mate. Colour coded cover for the win too:up:😂

Haha almost cover is a light red

What a stunning motor! Glad the repairs came out well.
Can't wait to see the turbo conversion begin.

Cheers. Simon has done an amazing job as usual

Love the paint work and the front bumper. Excellent work! Puts mine to shame, now I need a front end respray!

Mine was meant for the quarter repair but I got carried away haha

Cheers, Simon is top notch and only person I will let paint my cars

Looks awesome! What car cover is that?

Its a Richbrook indoor cover. Small size is perfect for a Clio, around £100
