If you ever run out of the pre wax cleaner fluid, just use normal glass cleaner mate, has the same make up but without the heafty price tag ;) Been using it for 6 months on mine now without no changes.
All's i can say is that they have done really well to get it out. Putting it back in can only be worse. The Akrapovic handbook tells you to cut it at a certain area so it can be sleeved properly if reverting back to old. Mine will be staying on the car along with the plate when i come to sell.
Yes it has. You can't get it out in one piece. The booklet that came with the Akrapovic says that you have to cut it at the U bend near the backbox. Even tried dropping the rear axle but no joy that way either!!
I know but can't really see it unless you scrutinize up close. I'm currently looking into getting a compressor, guns etc and doing it properly. Hopefully i will be introducing it to my customer base as a lot have praised it to death, lol. I don't really want to respray it because of how limited...
Thought i'd post up the progress of my Raider. It has been copied from another site so saves me typing it all up again :)
So i went to get the Akropovic Evo fitted yesterday morning at 10am by Northwest Performance. The zorst is superb and is worth every penny. A few pics of the fitting...
Sorry mate, didnt mean Rs as in the product name but ill have a look at fastchips too. Would like to know if they would give a different map with it running on 99 RON
Thinking of getting a tuner for my 200 from Ktec. Only mod ive got is a panel filter and i run it on 99 RON fuel. What sort of gains and differences will be had out of one?
Cheers, Lew
My 200 has had a sub and amp installed from the standard head unit. The live in mine comes up through the bulk head from the left hand side of the battery. Im guessing Remi that you have bought new front/rear door speakers too? If so, i have fitted all door speakers and they don't need amping...
Its not about being poor Remi, its the fact thats its a brand new car and you would like the 3 yr manufacturers warranty, same as anyone else really. My 200 has has a recall and a few visits with knocking noises etc and ive cut the original exhaust in 2 places to make way for a custom decat...
Mine arent lit either on my 200. Saying that, mine also doesnt have the RS badge between the bonnet and number plate with it being a Jan 10 :(. Im hoping my raider will have a few changed bits on it though. Already noticed one which was the passenger seat belt warning sounds on the raider and...
Valet Pro Orange (Pre Wash) has never failed for me. Very good stuff and it cleans stupidly well without the need of getting your mitt out (within reason).
Ive used the spray tin method on my past few attempts and came up brilliant, million times better than a pen. Touch ups take longer and also sanding can be a pain if not done right. You can be left with a big imperfection (looks like a dint) if you sand either side of the scratch when flattening...
With most detailers mate, their goal is to hit over a 90% correction rate. With the focus being only 5 months old, id expect the result to be better although nowadays you see some new cars in sorry states wondering how it got like that in the first place! Surface scratches can be removed...
Try using Power finish or Final finish, whatever theyre called these days. Work it in for a while (maybe 4-5 mins tops??!?!?! please correct me if im wrong, i dont time my work times...)
Depends on your technique mate ;)
Good old Body Wrap by Wolf Chemicals Magpie ;) Very very good stuff. Only downside that the beading soon drops off (2-3 weeks) if not treated with a decent detailer every week or so. 2 coats of has been on mine for 8 months or so now and only been treated to either Pro detailer or C2 diluted...
Ive still not put my C2 down yet either. Massive difference in terms of stuff sticking to the car. Only seems to be the lower half getting a few stains but thats after 3 weeks with driving in the rain too.
For thorough work and the best results you will ever get, its all in the prep. Machining is the main factor in detailing with patience and cautiousness being key but also caring for your finish which also takes time and experience. As JD said, once your washing method is mastered then start...
Hi mctw, the color fading your experiencing is due to oxidised paint which is caused by a number of factors. UV exposure, industrial fallout, weather, care of the vehicle. All these and many more attack your cars paintwork and over due time it will damage the topcoat of your car. The color...
Im a massive C2 fan, excellent stuff. If bought neat, you can dilute it how you want it too. Recently been using my V7 though as i bought 2 16oz bottles and never really touched it. Very good gloss levels from this but my views on protection are yet to be answered.
As far as highlighting defects go mate, you will be looking for some form of false lighting such as a 500w halogen lamp. This will enable you to see you problems. When you say chemicals, i think you mean polishes. You will have to post up a list if what you have and then i can help further :S Lew
Clean your car is a very small place so you could appreciate the level on how busy he gets. I think the cut off time is before 1pm for next day deliveries but Tim will try his best to get them out after the cut off time. I can only recommend that if you desperate for items then go down and see...
