Bring on Bedford on the 25th!
I assume you are only only to play cars at your place if you have a silver vehicle 😂
Got to fit new discs/pads/brake lines to mine before Bedford. Arrrgggghhhhh.

What clutch is that ?
Makes two of us that had clutch failure at Snetterton on Friday. Our day ended at around 11am!!
Oh really, that's a shame too. What Clio were you in? Standard Valeo clutch?
I'm sure I recognize your forum name, have we crossed paths before?
Going paddle? I've got the organic non-paddle in the turbo
Really liking this build thread, subscribed! Where in Surrey are you? I'm just outside Leatherhead!
Unlucky with the clutch. Exact same story as me. Clutch failure wreaked box...
new clutch new box... failed 1st time out again wreaked box...
this time went with a LUK as looks a better clutch plus has covers etc for where the valeos are failing.
Didn't want to spend on a helex but would be my next option if happens again.
So you had a Valeo, it failed and ruined your box?
Then you fitted a new clutch, new box and it ruined it again!???
Now you've got a LUK in there working ok as of yet?
What failed on your clutches please mate?
Yip exactly.
First clutch lasted about 14 track day
Second lasted less than one day.
Each time it was they rivvits that went on the pressure plate. Letting it act like a blade and chop about 4 holes in the box.
f**k that's bad. Looks like I got lucky then and caught it with just one rivet failure.
How comes you went for a LUK clutch now, and not something considerably stronger!??
This is concerning, especially as i have a Valeo waiting to go into mine next week.
Surely this has to be rare considering the amount of members on here who have used Valeo replacements with no issues or have Valeo changed the type of pressure plate they use?

One was cost... second was feeling as if I don't need the full fat race clutch so I just didn't go for it.
I had it in a garage up here called Automek in East Kilbride and he works with mostly race cars. And it was him that refused to fit a valeo again after seeing what happened 😂
I had went out and bought another valeo thinking it was bad luck but he went out and bought a LUK and said it's quality is far better than what the valeo is. Also had up covers over the rivet parts so if the did fail they don't come out and kill the box.
Couldn't say I could tell a difference on clutch feel or anything. And held up well last Sunday so will wait and see.
Really dont know what to do now. Stick with the Valeo ive just bought and hope for the best or return it for an LUK.
Are you standard engine/box?
Yes all standard. Been quoted £93 for an LUK so only a bit more than the Valeo.
Depends what you use it for, if it's mostly road use you'll be fine either.
Mine was actually in @-Dan-'s car as I'd sold it on, but it wrote off his car by damaging the firewall on exit, but yes, he was on the straight at Bedford in the top of 4th changing to 5th when bangAll these failed under track use i guess?
