Get some top of the line brakes and suspension. You can then brake later and get round corners better. Point to point this will make the car faster.

MPG on the Megane isn't that bad, about the same as the 197 from things I've read. Plus compare the Megane to a ST, VXR, etc which are of the same class.

There's not that much lag. It's a modern car with a small turbo.

I'd say be original and keep them the std colour.

Doesn't prospeed offer a long / life guarantee? If so, get money back, or get them to fix it again, at their expense (ie petrol) plus compensation.

Does the £400 need to include tyres? I'm assuming so if you're on a tight budget. In which case you're best to just keep your eye open on fleabay and in the forsale section.
