Been chasing a lumpy idle for a while and was thinking coils or plugs but the car ran fine otherwise, so I did some more research and take it to bits. Turns out that all the rubber seals on the inlet manifold had gone quite brittle and the throttle body O ring was fairly loose in the inlet...

So a mate of mine has a Mk1 16v, and has lost his only key. Managed to source a new lock set, key and ignition barrel but obviously the immobiliser will be a problem with the new key. Is there anyway of removing the immob completely? If not, any simple ways to bypass it? cheers xx

my engine started misfiring and runing rought changed the sparks coil pack injectors and engine loom dunno what to do next emissions light is flashing loom was changed yesterday not had chance to clear faults on the diagnotic reader yet i will post when i have done that later
